Or something

You know, even more than any other, Easter is the holiday that seems to get me more by surprise each year for some reason.

And you'd think that would be hard considering that it is just the last day of a whole week of holidays. A sort of “holiweek” if you will.

But still everytime I’ve posted something for Easter it's been a quick last minute thing I did the same day or something that I already had even though it wasn't planned for Easter.

This year was no different. So I decided to draw one character in a bunny suit as the cool kids seem to do it this day and here it is! Vero as a bunny and the scrapped color version.

I know it seems counterintuitive but the plan at first was just to only do a black and white sketch but while I was doing the Lineart I thought to myself “well, actually coloring it will just take like 10 minutes more” and once it was colored I thought “well, now I might as well do the lighting” and when I was finished I decided to go back, take the lights and the color and decided to post that.

So yeah, in a sense I actually did the SpongeBob drawing thing.

It's not because I dislike the colored one, I really do. It's just that I felt the sketch one fits more with what I was actually going for, and that is a quick last minute thing.

This is not even the first time I've done this. While doing commission, at least twice I've finished coloring a piece only to remember at the last minute that it was supposed to be a sketch commission.

What can I say besides “Ah…eto… bleh?”

Anyways, here's another scrapped sketch that was going to be the original one but at this point the perspective felt a little off and I could have fixed it but I felt it would have taken me more time than just starting again with another approach and I wanted it to be a quick thing so I just did that.

I could finish it later or use what I already have for another thing but for the meantime here it is.

Happy Easter!
