We are racing toward another release, and this is a project we have wanted to get out for a long time.
Our last update was well received, especially around setting clearer expectations, so we are going to continue being open about where things stand.
At this point, the release is firmly in our realistic range, with mid-July as the target. The conservative outcome is still possible, and we want everyone to understand that the date may move further if the remaining work does not come together as needed.
For content, we will fall below the realistic expectation we previously shared of 18 to 20 scenes. At this point, it is safest to expect introductions and early content rather than a larger first release.
The biggest reason is that creative decisions and content finalization happened too late in the process. When scenes, art direction, or design choices are still being worked out close to release, that time comes directly out of implementation, testing, polish, and the amount of content we can actually ship.
This is not where we want the process to stay. We need to get more of the creative work locked earlier so that the rest of the team has a real production window, rather than trying to compress everything at the end.
For mechanics, expect a realistic outcome where you can explore several key systems, rather than every planned mechanic being fully developed in this release.
We also want to clarify that this release will be built in Unity. Future releases will move to Ren’Py, which should give us a more sustainable workflow going forward.
Thank you for your patience and for sticking with us. We are excited to get this project into your hands, even if this first release will be smaller than we originally hoped.
