Hey guys, it's dev log time again!
I've had a busy couple of weeks, mostly working on writing the 0.15 script. I'm happy to report that the first draft it's more or less done now, I've just gotta go through the editing and then proofreading stages. It's a few days behind where I'd hoped, but that's because, as I'm sure you're all tired of me saying at this point, it's another record setter for length!
Actually, to be honest it may be a bit too long, so I'll probably do some trimming in the editing phase, and maybe rewrite a couple of the longer, more dialogue-heavy scenes if I feel like they drag a bit too much.
As usual, I'll give my brief (mostly spoiler free) rundown of what you can expect, so if you don't want to see it, skip to the next paragraph now! ----Spoiler START---- There's a tonne going on in this one, with, as I mentioned previously, a heavy focus on character progression for Sarah, Hannah, and Catherine. There's also a lot of development regarding the Founding Family dynamics, and a good number of long-running plot lines that have been simmering in the background getting tied up. This one has very much been written with the lead up to the first time skip in mind (which will be in the update after this one), so there was a lot to figure out in the planning stage, too. I won't go into any more detail than that, but I really like this one - cosy moments with the girls really are the ones I love the most! ----Spoiler END----
Now, other than working on the script, I've also handled some of the usual housekeeping stuff that I do between updates for my graphical software in preparation for starting rendering. I've been gathering updated asset mods (mostly clothing for the girls), updating my technical mods, and even commissioning some custom outfits for the story that will be needed in the coming updates. All of this is a surprisingly time-consuming process, I'm slightly annoyed to say!
Finally, I've been working on some further model upgrades for the main LIs. So far I've upgraded their tongue and teeth textures, and I've been playing a lot with the hair and eye shaders. I'm slightly hesitant with those last two, however, as they're a big part of each character's identity, so I don't want to do anything that would be too noticeably different, rather than being the same but better.
Oh, and I've also finally figured out how to fix the dry elbow issue that so many of you have complained about! It's actually shockingly easy and I'm kind of annoyed that I didn't realise it sooner, though the settings that control it may have knock-on effects in other areas, so I'm gonna have to do some testing with that before updating all the models with it.
To finish this off, I've done a render set of Lucy as a fiery angel. I had a lot of fun working on this one, just because it's so far removed from to sort of stuff I normally do, but I think they came out pretty good!
As always, thanks for your support, and I'll speak to you all again in a couple of weeks with another little development update!
