I Ate You and All I Got Was This Lousy Collar... :(
It is time for another weekly update.
Some of you may have already spotted the little teaser we shared over on our Bluesky. Yes, this is about that.
This week we are taking a closer look at Accessories, along with a few other improvements that support it.
────────────────────────
Accessories
You will now be able to upload your own accessories.
Think glasses, goggles, collars, props, or other wearable items that add personality to your character.
When your character has an accessory equipped and a predator claims you, that item does not simply disappear.
Instead, it is transferred in a way that fits the interaction.Belched up.Recovered.Spat out.Or however you decide it works 😉
That accessory is then transferred to the predator involved.
Yes. Items move between users.
Items With History
Accessories are not static. They carry history.
Every item can be inspected by you or other users to see:
• Who originally created it• Who has owned it• Its lifecycle as it travels through Gulpr
If you become the new owner of an accessory, you can equip it and continue the cycle.
This feeds directly into the larger collections system we are building around ownership and identity. Items are meant to feel like they exist within the world, not just sit in a menu.
Safety and Control
Because accessories can move between users, safeguards were built in from the beginning.
• Users you have blocked cannot obtain accessories you originally created• The same applies if another user has blocked you• If you are the original creator of an item and something feels wrong, it can be removed from circulation by contacting support
We want this system to feel playful and dynamic, not stressful.
────────────────────────
Warning System
Some of you may have already experienced this.
We have implemented a direct warning system.
If a staff member issues a warning, a pop up appears immediately on the user’s screen, no matter what they are doing. The warning must be read and acknowledged before continuing.
That warning is recorded on the account.
For a platform like Gulpr, clear moderation tools matter. This allows us to address issues directly and transparently in the moment rather than relying on vague messages or silent action.
It is about maintaining boundaries and continuing to improve safety as we grow.
────────────────────────
Public Profile Links
Profile URLs are now fully functional. (hopefully!)
For example:gulpr.app/@Byte
You can now link your Gulpr profile publicly if you choose. It was live before however it was -very- buggy.
Profile settings have been updated so you can decide whether your profile is public or private. You stay in control of your visibility outside the platform.

Behind the Scenes Stability Work
Alongside visible features like accessories, we have been doing a lot of foundational work to keep everything stable and responsive.
We have improved how the platform handles multiple users being active at the same time, focusing especially on high activity areas like messages, activity tracking, and live sessions.
Data that is frequently accessed is now handled more efficiently, reducing unnecessary database strain and improving load times. Related information is grouped and fetched together where possible, which helps pages feel faster and smoother.
Live features such as chat, vore sessions, and notifications have been made more resilient. Connections are monitored and cleaned up if they quietly drop, helping prevent stalled sessions, especially on mobile networks.
We have also introduced sensible limits to certain actions to prevent abuse and protect performance, without impacting normal use.
Caching has been added in areas where the same information is requested frequently, reducing backend load while keeping time sensitive data fresh.
None of this is flashy, but it is the foundation that allows systems like accessories, collections, and live interactions to exist without the site slowing down as usage grows.
────────────────────────
Accessories are meant to be playful, personal, and just a little unpredictable.
We are excited to see what you create, how items travel, and what stories they pick up along the way.
As always, thoughtful feedback is welcome.
We are also now officially over on Bluesky.
If you want to keep up with teasers, small updates, and the occasional vorny thought, you can find us here
That is where we will be sharing little previews like the accessories teaser some of you already spotted, along with other bits that do not always make it into longer posts like this.
As always, thank you for reading, supporting, and sticking with us while we continue building Gulpr into something weird, fun, and thoughtfully put together.
More soon.
