It is time for another weekly Gulpr update.
This one is a slightly smaller update than usual, as we have been focusing a lot of our time on some larger features and systems that we are not quite ready to share yet. We wanted to still keep you in the loop rather than go quiet, so this week is all about new social additions that improve day to day interaction on the platform.
Social features.
We want Gulpr to feel alive, not just interactive one-to-one, but as a space where friendships, groups, and communities can form naturally.
Here is what we have added.
────────────────────────
FRIENDING AND FRIENDS LIST
You can now add other users as friends.
Once added, they will appear in your friends list, making it easier to keep track of the people you interact with most without having to search for them each time.
This is one of those features that sounds small but changes how the platform feels day to day.
────────────────────────
DENS (GROUPS)
We have introduced Dens, our group system.
Dens allow users to gather in shared spaces, whether that is for roleplay, chatting, planning sessions, or just hanging out with like-minded people.
Think of them as community hubs within Gulpr.
We will continue expanding what Dens can do as we refine how people use them.
────────────────────────
PROFILE PLAY AVATARS
This one is a bit more experimental
Users can now upload a Profile Play Avatar. For example, an image of their character’s belly.
If enabled, this image can override the prey user’s avatar during interactions, allowing encounters to feel more personalised and immersive.
It is optional, adjustable, and meant to enhance profile play without forcing it on anyone.
────────────────────────
BELLY CHAT (Experimental)
We have reintroduced a system that a few of you may have accidentally seen during the brief time Gulpr was live before. It was supposed to be disabled at the time… whoops.
Belly Chat (name still a work in progress) appears in the Sessions tab and activates when multiple prey users are inside the same predator or switch. (e.g. two prey inside your belly) If you are in there together, you can chat with each other in real time, turning encounters into shared experiences rather than isolated ones. Yes, this applies to other body areas as well 😉
Right now the feature is still quite bare bones, but it runs on the same messaging system that powers our DMs. That means it is already very fast, responsive, and designed for near-instant interaction, even in busy sessions.
The system also provides live status updates. For example, if someone you are talking to gets churned or digested, the chat will notify you instantly with what happened and any changes to their status. It keeps the situation dynamic and reactive instead of static.
Just like DMs, predators can trigger interactive actions such as clenching, patting, or other gestures. In the future, users will be able to create custom actions of their own. These appear in the chat with small visual effects to keep things immersive. For example, if the predator belches, the chat window might shake slightly. Small touches, but surprisingly effective.
We are also building additional systems designed to work inside Belly Chat, including light interactive elements such as:
• Dice rolls for chance based fun• HP bars and hit (-1 -1 -1...) for longer encounters+ More
The goal is to make sessions feel alive, unpredictable, and collaborative rather than just passive text exchanges.
This feature is still experimental, so expect tweaks, changes, and refinements as we see how people use it.
────────────────────────
LOOKING AHEAD
Next week’s update will focus on something equally important.
Right now, Pred and Switch users naturally have the majority of content and systems available. While that is common for this kind of experience, we want Gulpr to feel balanced and rewarding for everyone.
Next week we will be sharing changes and additions aimed specifically at giving Prey users more to do, more agency, and more ways to engage on the platform.
────────────────────────
As always, thank you for the feedback, patience, and enthusiasm while we continue shaping Gulpr into something fun, interactive, and welcoming for all styles.
Seeyou next week!
