The way I came SO close to re-achieving a consecutive weekly upload... That was properly dashed when I discovered almost all of the audio was ruined because of a stupid iPhone upgrade. It reset my mic gain settings. My normal speaking voice was blowing out and clipping all over... Took tons of extra work just to clean it up, because it would have been impossible to re-shoot the footage. I would have had to scrap the entire video otherwise. Sorry if parts of the audio still sound like garbage. I will never, ever skip sound-check again. That blunder caused almost 3 days of additional editing time...
But, at last we're taking a look at an IBM Aptiva model 2139-E6U from 1998, shortly before the demise of IBM's participation in the home PC market. Upgrading to an Aptiva was always one of those things we wished we could do in our household. I guess those IBM marketing dollars did their job in spreading the message! Not enough to save IBM from the clone wars, though.
