So it turns out I was a bit optimistic in the previous post. I still was not well enough to get back to my old activities. Didn't shoot a single frame of video on that NEC laptop (yet). I decided maybe the key to getting going again was some sort of old familiarity. A good old Compaq... That did it! At last, things are rolling! Filming, editing, de-dusting, 3D printing. This is the most I've felt like my old self since before...
I'm nearly finished, just now going into the system testing phase. I was fortunate enough to find a seemingly compatible restore disc on archive. So unless something goes horribly, horribly wrong, we will have a video next week.
