Progression Report V: 0.2.7 (Enhanced free roaming patch/Optional Quests with H-events).
I've been experimenting with diagrams.Green means finished or missing final polish and playtesting.Yellow means significant progress.Red means little progress.
Like I said, patch 0.2.7 is going to be about improving free roaming events. So a different approach from previous builds that were focused on story progression and character development.
I want to take this update as an opportunity to add more secondary content with emphasis on H-Events around map. I'll also add depth to the heroine routine activities, which means you'll able to change her routine as you wish and can even get H-Events this way. This can even lead to variation and randomness, so each time you see her working on something, maybe the activity she is doing will be different. There will be 4 additional quests leading to H-Events:
• Quest related to Eddie (Alfred son) with plenty related H videos and pictures. Unlocks routine related to bathhouse.• Quest related to helping in the tavern with H events. Unlock related tavern routine.• Quest related to Amanda (potion gal) with H event.• Quest related to 'hanging out' with Derick, with related H event.
Besides those quests, there will be:• Added routine H-Events.• Added Heroine ability to cook.• Added secondary jobs for protagonist.• Improved performance, changed the way the game handles events to be temporary (huge, should improve main town performance by a lot specially in the long run).• ETC.
Release date:
Since this is a patch with less assets or new game mechanics/main story elements, I expect it to take significantly less than previous ones. I hope I can release it around 10 of december. I'll also try to take some time to polish it even more and prepare myself for the 'big' patch 0.3.0.
I'll add early access to supporting members!
ImportantWith all of these changes, the liveliness and H-Event frequence should improve a lot. One of the main complains I've received is that the game can feel you have to do too many quests or the story might interfere in the pacing of H-Events, I hope this patch helps.I also have heard your feedback in regards to pacing in general. Keep in mind I want to make a game that feels like a game, with lots of interactivity and story, but still I feel like I could do a better job at pacing, adding more things in between and more H-Events around map. I try to read all your sugestions and take them into consideration. If you have anything you don't like or feel could contribute into making the game better, please comment below.
Thank you very much!
