Here’s our regular update from life aboard (well… sort of!).
October started to look a bit dicey with storms rolling through, so we decided to spend this month on a pontoon instead. It’s been a nice change of pace — a chance to recharge, slow down, and enjoy a few comforts of being more land-based for a little while. We’ll be back out on anchor next month once the weather settles again.
In the meantime, we’ve been loving our family forestry walks — it’s been wonderful to stretch our legs and enjoy some greenery! Since we’re closer to land right now, we’ve also started daily cat-feeding walks for the local strays. It’s quickly become one of our favourite little routines. 🐾

In other updates, Laura completed her Ribbon Run in aid of SANDS UK, a charity supporting baby loss awareness. We’re so proud of her for taking part in something so meaningful.
Our beloved foster fail Marley was neutered recently and is recovering beautifully (and still getting all the cuddles, of course). And we’ve welcomed a tiny new foster kitten, Button. Despite being 13 weeks old, he’s only the size of a two-week-old — the poor little guy came to us battling a nasty case of Giardia. It’s a dangerous parasite for cats, but with lots of love, care, and good food, he’s already showing signs of improvement.
All in all, we’re embracing a slower rhythm this month — time to rest, regroup, and look after both ourselves and our furry crew.
