Hey Legends 💙
It’s been months of storms upon storms. Rain upon rain.
The whole of Greece has been hit hard - landslides, flooding, chaos in places that are usually bone dry.
For us? Living on a boat mostly just means:
⚓ the water level creeps a little higher
⚓ leak management becomes a full-time hobby
⚓ and close confinement is the main character in daily life
Thankfully… we’ve had almost 8 years of practice at this whole “tiny floating home” thing 😅
The last few weeks have looked a little like this:
🍻 Date nights off the boat
Yes, we’re those people ordering 0% beers. We decided to quit drinking on NYE… because apparently storms weren’t enough of a challenge.
🎬 Weekly movie nights
Huddled up with other liveaboard buddies - snacks & noisy debates about which flick to watch!
💪 Daily gym sessions
Got to have something to focus on. Primarily Ross’s biceps. Obviously.
🐾 Cats = elite entertainment
When you can’t go anywhere, feline chaos becomes prime-time viewing.
🏖️ Chasing The Sun for VIP Shoots!
Whenever the sun has made a rare appearance, we’ve been racing off for quick little beach VIP photoshoots - chasing that golden light & salty windy in our hair. You’ve got to grab the magic when it shows up. 💙
🚶♂️ Walks between the showers
Mali included. Both him and Ronnie absolutely love it - any excuse to get off the boat and stretch their furry legs.
📚 Early morning homework sessions
Before the rain starts hammering on deck again.
🧘♀️ Indoor “deck yoga” attempts
There’s no room to swing a cat… but apparently there is plenty of room for them to sit directly on you mid-pose.
It hasn’t been glamorous.
It hasn’t been adventurous.
It’s been damp, grey, and a test of patience.
But this is also liveaboard life. The in-between seasons. The waiting. The strengthening. The remembering why you chose this life in the first place.
And knowing that when those sails go back up… we’ll appreciate it more than ever.
Six more weeks to go.
We’re going to be itching to get those sails out. ⛵
Thanks for riding out the stormy chapters with us. Your support during these quieter, less cinematic months genuinely keeps this dream afloat.
Blue skies can’t come soon enough 💙
