In a typical Lefkada winter, 180–200mm of rain in a month is the norm… but this season we’ve had violent systems rolling through with 60-knot winds and more than triple the average rainfall in a single month. We’ve been battened down and riding it out (thankfully marina-based).
Salt-streaked decks. Howling, sleepless nights. Seven years of boat life has taught us how to plod on without letting the elements get inside our heads.
But when the sun finally pours through the hatch and freedom calls… you remember exactly why you chose this life.
