Okay - Now that character animation is finished, I think I will be able to return to weekly, more regular updates with where the project is at.
I have gotten in contact with the animator working on the special character for Scene F, and he has confirmed that he will be able to, indeed, work on his part starting on the 14th. This is a huge relief, as we will not be set back after all and things can go smoothly into place. I predict that after his part is complete, I'll finally be able to settle on a release date.
All camera work for Scenes A, B, and half of C is complete and nailed down. Several bits of A and C that just didn't feel right before now feel perfect. It's coming together. Additionally, all "Fire" effects for the episode are now complete.
I had hoped to outsource all of the fluid effects for Scene A, but have thus far come up completely fruitless in search of hiring someone on a job board I'd found. If push comes to shove, I am capable of doing the fluid effects myself, but I am still holding out for more bites and on finding someone even more capable than me. I am, however, incapable of doing some of the "snow" particles effects needed for this episode. After I nail down the camera work for "C", my main priority will be hiring out someone to do those effects. I will be pursuing this hire far more aggressively, and I am probably going to end up spend a huge chunk of the budget on this, as the snow effects I have in mind are crucial to the plot of this episode. If I can find someone to also do the fluids, that would be a plus, but finding someone that can adequately do snow will be crucial. However, I must completely lock down "C" first and foremost, and that's happening this week, along with D and G.
