Aerodactyl [Early Access, dirtier alts in link]

UPDATE May 3rd: With the addition of the new alt, someone suggested one more combination that I thought would be just fine to add (once again, it's in the dirtier section in the link below)! While I was in the engine room, I also made a few adjustments, fixed a couple minor things here and there, and renamed the set. Barring any major mistakes, I don't think there is anything more for me to add or tweak with this one, so thank you for putting up with these updates. ^^;

UPDATE May 2nd: I went ahead and did the extra alt! It's among the dirtier versions in the Proton Drive link below, text and no-text verisons. I've done stuff like that privately before, but I've always been worried of the end result being unsatisfying because I've always found there to be a lot of ways to do it and many of them failed to convey the intended sensation. But I think it ended up looking well enough this time! I'm shy to say what the alt actually is here in case you don't like that kind of thing, but... if you like stank pokémon butt, this might be your lucky day. ^^;

I, uuh... went a little nuts.

Once I put the initial layer of color down on this one, I looked at it and thought it was a little... dull. Aerodactyl is very monochrome, especially from behind. And just having him against a simple background was very underwhelming. So I started adding to it bit-by-bit to make it more interesting to look at!

I actually had a very specific story to go along with this one from the very beginning when I first sketched it and decided to lean into it with the background elements! And believe me, I'm looking forward to doing some writing about this. =) Not very many alternate versions for this one, but you know what? Maybe it's for the best. ^^; I went a little overboard with alts in my last pic, and it's probably better not to force too many elements if they can't be the theme.... However, there is one more alt I am considering doing... Maybe I'll ask you folks if it's something you'd be interested in seeing...
