[PLAYBACK COMMENCING: RECONSTRUCTING SUBJECT PERSPECTIVE...]

THE AUDIT OF MERIT

You remember the cold, filtered air of the executive elevator. You were mid-sentence, tearing into a subordinate about a "mathematical oversight" that had cost your firm a fraction of a percent of sales last month. "Precise accounting is the only thing that separates us from the animals," you’d sneered, adjusting your bespoke cufflink. Then, a flicker of the lights. A sharp, clinical sting at the base of your neck.

Darkness.

You wake to a sensory vacuum. A heavy, coarse fabric hood smells of industrial cleaner and the lingering scent of someone else's salt-streaked panic. You try to move your hands, but your wrists are locked behind you in cold steel. Your ankles are shackled to the rungs of a high, unforgiving stool.

"Specimen #7492-J," a voice boomed. It is perfectly synthesized: rich, masculine, and terrifyingly calm. It is a voice that sounds like a machine trying to emulate a human god. "Social Credit Audit: Initiated. Charge: Interpersonal Malpractice."

"Where am I? What is this?" you demand, your manager-voice cracking in the void.

"You are here because your social etiquette toward your colleagues is deficient," the Machine responds. "You’ve spent your career looking down on 'morons' from your glass office. Tonight, we see how your 'superior' intellect handles a different kind of accounting. We have brought you here for an audit."

You feel the cold air on your skin and the restrictive pull of synthetic fabric. You have been stripped of your suit and processed into a bright pink sports bra and a matching set of shiny pink leggings. They cling to your toned physique like a second, mocking skin. Beneath the leggings, unseen but felt with every shallow breath, is a skimpy red lace thong—a final, hidden layer of humiliation designed to strip away the last of your professional dignity.

The hood is yanked upward by a mechanical pulley.

The transition is violent. You are squinting into the blinding, white-hot intensity of studio floodlights. Ten feet in front of you, a massive digital screen flickers to life. It displays a stark, 4x4 grid of sixteen blank squares, each one marked with a cold, glowing placeholder:

[ ? ]

Beyond the lights, you can see the audience, a mob of masked observers in the shadows, their eyes gleaming with hunger for your ruin.

"I'd like to play a game," the Machine’s voice echoes. "We’ve all played that old computer game, Minesweeper. It’s a simple game. You avoid the mines, you win. I'm going to make it even easier for you. This game is called “Piesweeper.” In the original, if you hit one mine, the game is over. Here, I’ll give you three chances. Scattered around the grid in front of you are seven bombs, each representing one of the Seven Deadly Sins. If you hit one, we will punish you. You will receive a nice treat to teach you a lesson."

The studio is plunged into a heavy, expectant silence for a heartbeat before a single, harsh spotlight snaps to the side of the stage.

The beam catches a young woman sitting in a sturdy wooden chair. She’s been sitting in the pitch black for minutes, and the sudden light is an assault. Her breath hitches—a sharp, audible intake of air—as her pupils struggle to adjust. She squints, her face contorting against the glare, her hands tied securely behind the chair’s back and her torso lashed flat against the wooden frame.

She looks pristine, wearing a periwinkle tank top that complements her tan, paired with navy blue yoga pants. Her heathered white socks are pulled up slightly over the ankles of her trainers. She looks like she belongs in a park or a trendy cafe, not here. She is trembling, the realization of her "bad luck" finally setting in as her vision clears.

A masked stagehand steps into the light just five feet away. He’s balancing a massive, overstuffed cream pie. Through the translucent, wobbling peaks of the whipped cream, the dark, staining juice of a heavy blueberry filling begins to weep down the side of the crust.

"No... wait," she begs, her voice small and cracking with desperation. She tries to lean back, but the restraints hold her firm. "Don't do it, please! I’m meeting my sister for her birthday after this... I didn’t do anything! Don’t—"

The stagehand doesn't hesitate. With a violent, practiced snap of his arm, he launches the pie. It hits her with devastating accuracy and force. A wet, heavy crack echoes through the studio. Her plea is silenced instantly as the pie explodes across her face and chest. She lets out an agonizing scream.

The periwinkle tank top is ruined in a second, buried under thick mounds of white cream and a violent, spreading bloom of deep purple blueberry juice that’s slowly seeping inside the top. The stagehand walks away without a word. The woman hangs her head, the heavy, colorful mess sliding off her hair and chin, dripping onto her lap and staining her navy yoga pants in a permanent, sticky ruin.

You stare at her, the reality of the violence finally sinking in. Your heart hammers against the pink fabric of the sports bra.

"Accumulate three of those, and your audit is a failure," the Machine continues, ignoring the sobbing woman. "You will be discarded, and the real fun begins. One last thing. Lust is the deadliest of the sins. There are no strikes for Lust. If you trigger that bomb, the game ends immediately, and you lose.”

The screen in front of you pulses once, a cold, expectant glow.

"Let's play."

THE SEVEN DEADLY SINS

You’re on the stool. The studio lights are hot, and the air smells faintly of graham cracker crust and anticipation. The Machine takes its first opportunity to mock you.

"You look adorable in that pink outfit, player. Truly. It’s a shame it’s only a strike away from being trash. Since you’re so convinced of your own intellectual superiority, why don’t you stop peacocking for the camera and actually make a move? I’m dying to see if you can handle the sensation of cold pudding hitting that vain face of yours.”

“I just want you to know I'm not happy to be here, and I'm determined to show every one of you cretins why I'm the smartest guy in the room, you just don't know it yet. Turn over A1.”

You sit there on your stool, chest puffed out in the sports bra, giving off a ‘powerful businessman’ arrogance despite the objectifying outfit. It’s a bold strategy to insult the person holding all the power.

The audience leans in, hoping for an immediate explosion of pudding.

A digital ping echoes through the studio. The square at A1 flips over. You breathe a sigh of relief. For now, you remain clean.

"You found a safe square. Congratulations. You’ve effectively walked into the casino, found a penny on the floor, and started acting like you own the vault. Which square are you going to 'logic' your way into next, or are you too busy admiring your muscle definition in the studio monitors?"

“Trust me, if I wanted to be, I could be a fitness influencer. But I've got bigger fish to fry in my life. Looking around, though, I bet this audience doesn’t know a damn thing about superfoods or whey protein. No wonder y'all throw desserts around this room, everybody in the crowd just wants to eat 'em. Turn over A2.”

"Typical. You’re not here for the money, player; you’re here because your vanity wouldn’t let you turn down an audience, even if that audience is a group of 'cretins' who think 'whey protein' is something you use to patch a tire."

You sit there, sneering at the crowd while your pink sports bra strains against your chest as you puff it out. You think you’ve got "bigger fish to fry"? Well, the only thing getting fried right now is your dignity.

The digital screen doesn't just ping; it emits a sluggish, distorted groan as the word

flashes in a muddy brown. The studio lights suddenly cut out. You don't even have time to register what’s happening before—

THUD.

From the darkness of the studio, a heavy graham cracker crust loaded with a chocolate pudding and whipped cream goes airborne with predatory speed. It catches you square in that vain face of yours mid-smirk.

The force of the hit snaps your head back, the tin buckling against your brow and nose. Dark, cool, and thick chocolate pudding erupts on contact, painting your ears, neck, and hair in a viscous, sugary mud. The whipped cream, slick and oily, slides down your throat and into the collar of the bra. You gasp loudly, and a glob of chocolate-heavy cream slides right onto your tongue, forcing you to taste punishment for the first time. The pink fabric of your bra turns into a heavy, sagging, translucent weight that clings to your athletic frame as pie remnants ooze down your front.

Strike 1.

A stagehand steps out of the shadows. With an uncaring, clinical efficiency, he reaches behind you. The clasp of the pink sports bra is undone. The fabric is peeled away from your skin with a wet, sucking sound. It’s tossed onto the studio floor like a piece of trash.

You’re left sitting there on the stool, bare-chested, your chest glistening under the now-brightened studio lights and a layer of chocolate.

“Fine, you got me. But I know a lot more about the board now. Such as, B1 and B2 are safe squares. So turn them over for me, will you? I'd like to show you what a real winner does.” A shit-eating grin immediately spreads across your face.

It’s a fascinating sight: a man who thinks a basic understanding of probability makes him the 'smartest guy in the room,' even as his sports bra lies discarded like a used napkin on the floor.

"You’re so confident, player. It’s almost charming. Let’s see if that logic holds up when we actually peel back the curtain."

Two digital pings ring out in quick succession. The squares flip. No bombs. No splatter. Just numbers.

"Oh wow, two safe squares. I suppose I should throw a parade for you. But I must admit, you’ve got a real talent for making your life difficult. A '2' and a '3'? You're surrounded by bombs, and you're sitting there grinning like you just closed a multi-million dollar merger. Those pants look awfully pristine. It would be a shame if 'Greed' or 'Wrath' ruins them for good. Where's that 'fitness influencer' intuition leading you now? C1? B3? Or are you going to keep playing it safe while the 'cretins' wait for the carnage?"

“I don't like your attitude, but I'm gonna let it slide. I deal with morons like you on the phone at work literally every day. Turn over D4.”

"Customer service, eh? How fitting. I suppose explaining to people why their order didn’t arrive is great practice for when you have to explain to THIS audience why you’re sitting naked on a mountain of slop. I’m sure your coworkers would be fascinated by your performance tonight. Nothing says 'Manager' like a body covered in chocolate pudding and a man wearing women’s clothes.”

You lean back on the stool, trying to look composed despite the fact that chocolate-vanilla sludge is currently matting your chest hair and dripping steadily onto your slender midriff. You point a defiant finger at the opposite corner: D4.

The digital screen doesn't groan. It chimes a high, melodic note.

CASCADE! D4 is a 0!

Because you hit a 0, a Cascade is triggered. The digital squares adjacent to D4 flip over in a rapid-fire sequence of pings:

D4 is a 0.

D3 is revealed as a 1.

C4 is revealed as a 0. Because C4 is also a 0, the squares around it flip as well:

B4 is revealed as a 1.

C3 is revealed as a 2.

B3 is revealed as a 2.

“You must feel like a tycoon right now, player. Of course, information is only useful if you’re smart enough to use it. I’d hate for you to disappoint all of these people by making a correct decision."

“Yeah, I struck oil. Caused a goddamn earthquake with it. Sorry to disappoint all you morons. Guess you'll have to wait for a different low-IQ moron to come in here.

“The 2 in C3 tells me that both C2 and D2 are bombs. Put flags in those. And then the 3 in B2 means that C1 has to be a bomb too. So flag that one too, while you're at it. As a matter of fact, there are 7 bombs on the board and I've already uncovered 9 safe squares, so why don't you just flag every open square left and we can call this game over, you can hand me a towel and some money to replace that top you destroyed, and we'll call it even, ok? Have a NICE day.”

The audience is howling now, Martyr. They love the bravado. They love that you think you’ve just outsmarted a machine while sitting half-naked and glistening under the lights. You want to "call it even"? You want a towel and a paycheck?

“I’ve placed your flags on C2, D2, and C1. But before you stand up and start looking for the exit, we have a slight... accounting error.

"You say you've found all 9 safe squares. You say the game is over. But player, you might want to look at the board again. If you’re the 'smartest guy in the room,' then I’m afraid the room is in serious trouble.

“You just told me to flag C1 as a bomb. If C1 is a bomb, then B1 should be a 3, not a 2. And as a 'Business Manager,' surely you know that being off by 50% is a fireable offense. So, either you've flagged a safe square, which means you haven't uncovered all 9 safe squares yet, or I’ve been very, very subtle with my numbers."

Audience members are starting to lean forward. They’re not as dumb as you think them to be. They see a trap that you don’t. They see a chocolate-smeared genius starting to realize the math doesn't add up, but that he can’t compute his next move.

"You have a choice, player. You can take your 'victory' and walk away, but I won't be handing over any towels or cash. Why? Because the display hasn't turned green. The game isn't over and you haven’t won. You've uncovered 9 squares, yes, but your 'logic' just left A3, A4, and D1 in a state of uncertainty.

If you’re so sure of yourself, then prove it. If C1 is safe, click it. If it's a bomb, you were right. But if you’re wrong... well, I’ve got a cherry-filled pie and I see a pair of expensive pink yoga pants that are looking far too clean for my taste."

“So you purposely rigged the board! Because there are supposed to be 7 bombs on that board. I hit the bomb on A2, and before I started flagging things, there were only 6 squares left. So all the empty squares had to be bombs, including your beloved C1. You're the one at fault here. You tell YOUR boss and all these people in the audience who paid you their hard-earned money why you couldn't do your one job right. I'm done here. I demand to be let go.”

“You sit there covered in chocolate yet defiant, trying to pull rank on a machine. It’s adorable. You think that because you’ve found 9 safe squares and hit 1 bomb, the game is over? You think you’ve 'struck oil'? You’ve struck a nerve, certainly, but the math is exactly where it needs to be.

"You're claiming the board is rigged because you can't reconcile the numbers. Typical corporate behavior: when the project fails, blame the infrastructure.

You want a towel? You want me to tell my boss? Player, I am the boss. I’ll make you a deal, genius. Since you’re so convinced I’ve fouled the game, prove it. If C1 is a bomb like you flagged, then clicking it will be your Strike 2. That means another pie in your stupid face and the removal of those pants. But if it’s safe... well, then it means you haven't won yet, and the game must continue.

“So what’s it going to be? Do you click C1 to prove me wrong, or do you just keep complaining?”

“You're not giving me a choice at all, asshole! You're telling me what to do, even though the game is CLEARLY over and I have CLEARLY beaten you. If I hit C1 and it's a bomb, NO SHIT it's Strike 2, I've already been hit with Strike 1! You're basically telling me, in front of you is your car. Here's the key to your car. If the doors unlock when you use the key, then the car is yours. Do you think I'm STUPID??? Okay then. Have it your way. I'll stick around. But I'm not touching C1. I want you to turn over A4.

You sit there with arms crossed, at once both vain and defiant, your chest muscles tight and glistening with the drying chocolate-cream sludge. You point a trembling, pudding-smeared finger at A4. The audience goes silent. They are holding their breath.

The screen doesn't ping. It screams, a high-pitched, digital alarm that flashes the word

in a sickly, pulsing gold.

CRUNCH! Before you can even register your failure, a heavy blueberry pie is launched with violent force from the front of the stage. It hits you square, at a punishing velocity, right between the eyes. Bullseye.

The graham cracker crust shatters immediately against your forehead, sending sharp, buttery shards flying into your hair. The whipped cream topping, piled four inches high, explodes across your features, instantly matting your eyelashes and filling your nose ear with a cold, greasy sludge. But it’s the filling that’s the real violation: a thick, dark blueberry compote, heavy with whole, bursting berries and a deep purple-blue syrup that looks like ink against your skin.

The dark syrup cascades down your throat, mixing with the chocolate already there, creating a muddy, bruised-looking mess that flows over your bare chest and soaks into the waistband of your pink pants. You gasp as the taste of tart blueberry and sugary frosting fills your mouth.

"Oh, no,” the machine says emotionlessly. “Looks like your 'car' just hit a wall at sixty miles an hour.”

The stagehand returns. You’re still reeling from the hit, blueberry syrup dripping off your chin and oozing down your chest, when you feel the hands on your hips.

The pink leggings, now heavy, wet, and ruined by the cascading chocolate and blueberry filth, are gripped at the waistband. With a forceful, downward tug, they are stripped off your legs. The sleek fabric peels away from your thighs with a wet, sucking sound, exposing your lower half to the cool studio air. The leggings are tossed onto the growing pile of your discarded dignity.

You’re left on the stool, wearing nothing but the red lace thong. You are a vision of total degradation: half-purple, half-chocolate, shivering slightly as the wet messes start to cool on your bare skin. The "Cretins" are on their feet now, cheering for the "martyr" who thought he was a genius.

"You look spectacular. That red lace really pops against those blueberries. So here’s the deal. You’re at Strike 2. One more bomb — any bomb — or the Lust Nuke, and the thong comes off, and you get sent off to get pounded. Are you still the smartest guy in the room? What’s the next move for the tiny man in the red lace?”

“You’re full of shit, but I get what's happening. A3 must be safe because the 2 in B3 was already accounted for by the bombs in A2 and A4. That also means that C2 is not a bomb. I can't figure out why C3 is a 2 if the only bomb touching it is D2, but whatever. You're clearly playing a different game than the one I thought I was here to play. Turn over A3. Then turn over C2.

Two digital pings echo through the maroon-lit room. The squares flip.

"Well, well. You found two safe squares. I’d offer you a round of applause, but I think these nice people would rather see another pie. You're still breathing, player. For now.

"Now, about your 'confusion' about C3. You claim you can't figure out why it's a 2. Player... are you sure you’re the 'smartest guy in the room'? Maybe the blueberry syrup is clouding your vision. Or maybe, your 'perfect' understanding of the rules is as thin as that red lace you’re wearing.

"It’s almost like the math is... shifting. Or perhaps you're just failing a test you didn't know you were taking. You’re shivering, Martyr. Is it the cold pudding, or are you finally realizing that you’re failing to see what the rest of us can? You’re at Strike 2. One more mistake and the game is over. That cute little thong comes off, the ring gag goes in, and then the real fun begins.

“Yeah, no shit the math is shifting. I TOLD YOU in the last round, you're playing a different game than the one I came here to play. This is COMPLETELY UNFAIR. I'm willing to bet that you've rigged this game so that no matter what I do, I lose. Am I right? If I say C1, there's a bomb there. If I say D1, kaboom. Hell, if you talk me into saying D2, BYE BYE undies, nice knowing ya. Well? Did I catch you in the act? Or are you just gonna sit there oblivious like you didn't have this rigged from the very beginning?

"Unfair? Rigged? Sir, I’m wounded. Truly. You’re sitting there in the most ridiculous underwear looking like a Jackson Pollock painting made of dairy and fruit, and you’re accusing me of lack of integrity? That’s rich.”

The audience is absolutely loving this. They’re laughing at your ongoing crashout. They see every muscle in your body shivering, not from the cold, but from the realization that the intelligence you seem to think is so superior may be your own worst enemy. The call is coming from inside the house.

"I'll give you a hint, since you’re so fond of fairness. The math only looks 'rigged' because you’re assuming this game follows the rules of a boardroom. They don't. They follow the rules of the house. And the house wants to see you martyred."

"If C1, D1, and D2 are all bombs like you claim, there would be eight bombs on the board. We both know there are only seven. So one of those squares is safe. The other two? Well, one is a strike. And the other... heh… the other is Lust.

"Look at you. Shivering in that red lace, covered in filth, debating the 'fairness' of a game rather than focusing on the real task at hand. Do you have the focus to find the safe square, or are you going to keep whining until we decide we’re sick of waiting and just give you the ‘L’?”

“The fuck? There are two bombs on the board yet there’s only one mystery square? You've been harassing me about my math all night, and it turns out YOU can't do math. There are no "eight" bombs on the board. You keep fixating on this C1, like you're trying to make it fate that I'm gonna pick it. FINE. HAVE IT YOUR WAY. TURN OVER C1. You crooked piece of Windows Millennium Edition crap.”

"Windows Millennium Edition? Sir, your insults are as outdated as your belief in fairness. You’re trying to lecture me on system stability, but maybe you should be more worried about your own 'front-end' crashing."

The audience is roaring now. They see the desperation in your eyes. You’ve let the frustration get to you.

"You want C1? You want to prove I’m a 'crooked piece of crap'? Fine. Let’s see what fate has in store for the smartest guy in the room."

The digital square for C1 is pressed.

The entire studio goes black for a heartbeat. The digital board flatlines into a void-like black. A single, sub-harmonic synthesizer blast from the score to the movie "The Substance" rips through the room. The floor vibrates. The stool vibrates. Your very skeleton vibrates.

Suddenly, the lights explode into a menacing, maroon red, pulsing like a dying star.

The center monitor re-awakens, and In extra-large, crimson red letters that bleed down the monitor, one word appears, hanging there like a guillotine blade:

THE CHOREOGRAPHY OF RUIN

THROB. THROB. THROB. The music enters a relentless, pulsating thrum, vibrating the stool you’re seated on.

Hands emerge from the shadows, forcing you up to your feet. You feel thumbs hooking the red lace around your hips, and then, over the music, the audible RRRRRIP of the flimsy fabric tearing away from your body with a violent snap.

THUD. You are forced back down onto the stool, nude, exposed, and vulnerable. Steel handcuffs click shut behind you. Leather straps crank your ankles wide, spreading your toned but suddenly tender frame. A ring gag is hammered into your mouth and cinched tight, turning your arrogant insults into a rhythmic, wet wheeze.

The bass drops into a guttural, low-frequency growl. You are hoisted up to your feet for a moment. Hidden in the dim light, a stagehand slid a tray, the kind a Thanksgiving turkey might be prepared in, onto your seat, except this one was filled with warm chocolate syrup and topped with several sweet inches of whipped topping. In the center of the sticky casserole was a pyramid of peanut butter with a sharp point at its apex, the thing covered in rainbow sprinkles and drizzled heavily in chocolate syrup. It would look tasty if it wasn’t so sinister.

The next thing you feel are your knees buckling. SQUORCH. The peanut butter pyramid is unyielding, driving upward between your cheeks with sickening force. You feel it crash through the one-way door of your sphincter, a blunt-force intrusion that makes your spine arch. The warm chocolate syrup surges around the impact zone, a wave of sugary heat flooding your cleft as the rainbow sprinkles pulverize and  grind against your skin. Behind the gag, you let out a high, agonizing wail that is swallowed by the ear-splitting bass. You are screaming into a canyon.

The music shifts to a piercing, industrial screech.

BOOF. A pie filled with butterscotch pudding is slammed directly into your crotch. The sensitive nerves on the underside of your shaft are pulverized by the impact. Your body jerks in the restraints, a visceral, involuntary reaction to the cold butterscotch and shattering crust, causing you to grind your hips deeper into the thick peanut butter and chocolate underneath you. The contrast between the screaming synth and your muffled, guttural groans is absolute.

SPLAT. CRUNCH. GLOOP. Vanilla pudding, cherry, and blueberry pies are hammered into your face in sync with the thumping beat. Your vision is erased by inches of frosting, whipped cream, and fruit. The pressure is immense; the cold, cloying slurry is forced through the gag and into your nostrils. You are gagging on pie, drowning in the same mess you mocked earlier.

GOOOOOOSH. Just as you finally find air through the fruit and cream, a deluge is triggered from above. Three buckets, one each filled with melted vanilla ice cream, thick caramel sauce, and black chocolate syrup, fall from the heavens directly onto your head. It’s a sensory blackout. The cold, melted dairy clashes with the warm chocolate syrup underneath your cheeks, an unrelenting deluge that causes your body to jerk around wildly, sending thick goo flying off into the ether as you shiver. When the brutal shower concludes, rainbow sprinkles and a cloud of spray whipped cream rain down on you, coating your shoulders and chest and turning you into a colorful party favor. You especially feel the caramel; it is a heavy, slow-moving weight, sealing the pie mess to your skin like a second, sugary layer of muscle.

Before you can take a second breath, you feel more hands haul you up to your feet by the elbows, holding you in place. The tray is pulled away from the stool, and then—SPLOOSH—it is slammed into your face. The flattened peanut butter mountain, now slick with your own body heat and the marbled slurry of chocolate, cream, and sundae runoff, blindfolds you. The stagehand drags it upward, raking the heavy paste through your hair, leaving you sightless and shivering as you are dropped back onto the bare, slippery stool.

The score reaches a deafening, pulsating crescendo. But you don’t hear it. You only feel it.

BOOM. A jet of thick, dark molasses fires vertically, from a previously retracted nozzle built into the floor beneath your latticed seat. It hits your rear like cannon fire, an intrusion so violent that it forces the remaining peanut butter and debris even further into your cleft. Your back arches so hard your ribs cord under the chocolate-smeared skin. Your body thrashes against the leather straps, a pinned butterfly in a maroon-drenched nightmare, as the pulsating bass drowns out the sounds of your total breakdown.

The music fades to a low, ominous vibration that you feel in your teeth. You sit in the stool, shoulders slumped, completely broken. The "smartest guy in the room" has been reduced to a human sundae.

Your mouth is a thick, violet-tinted rope of blueberry filling, melted ice cream, and saliva. The slurry leaks from the ring gag, cascading down your chest in a slow, oozing drip.

Your backside is covered with an unholy goo, a liquefying mixture of molasses, peanut butter, and chocolate spreading around your seat, the viscous pool underneath you continuing to grow wider with each passing second.

As for your groin? Your nervous system is on the verge of surrender. You can sense that the chill from the melted ice cream flowing down your body is the only thing preventing you from leaking from every possible point.

Your head lolls, heavy with the weight of the sundae ingredients and the thick molasses blindfold. Every time you try to blink, you just see the blurred glow of the monitor through the sludge, the drips of blood extending further from each letter than ever before.

The pulsating bass of "The Substance" score hits a new, darker frequency, one that makes your diaphragm flutter. And then, you hear it: the sound of spoons clinking against hard metal surfaces. The “cretins" you couldn’t help but repeatedly offend  are descending from the stands now, spoons in hand, given to each of them as they rush the stage. You can only sit there, gagged, bound, and dripping, as they approach you with cruel intentions.

THE FEAST OF THE CRETINS

They are a hungry, faceless mass. They surround the stool, their simple-minded jeers replaced by a terrifying, rhythmic chanting that syncs with the bass. Through your mess-caked eyelashes, the red L U S T letters seem to pulse in time with their approach.

The first spoon makes contact. A cold, metal edge rakes across your shoulder, scooping up a thick mound of molasses and melted vanilla ice cream. Then another spoon on your ribs. Another on your thigh. You feel the cold metal biting into your skin, harvesting the ruin smothering your body.. You try to elude them, but the straps and handcuffs hold you perfectly still.

A hand, rough and slick with caramel, grabs your chin and tilts your head back toward the blood-red lights. A spoon, heavy with the peanut butter and chocolate debris harvested from the Turkey Tray, is jammed into the opening of the ring gag. You have no choice. You have to swallow the very mess that once sat beneath you. The thick paste clogs your throat; you let out a muffled, gagging wail that is drowned out by the ear-splitting bass.

As some eat, others get handsy. You feel a dozen hands, slick, sticky, and uncaring, sliding all over your body. They probe the corded muscles of your chest; they slide down your chocolate-coated stomach; they grasp your inner thighs, tracing the edges of the mess leaking from your cleft. Through the chaos of the hands and the spoons, your eyes lock back onto the monitor.

The four little letters stare back at you uncaringly, as if it is responsible for governing the proceedings and only it will tell you when you’re allowed to be set free. Silently, it tells you that you are fulfilling the prophecy of its message.

As you stare at the bleeding red letters, the hands swarming you don't stop at your thighs. With your legs spread wide and your ankles locked to the stool, you feel the slick, chocolate-covered fingers' finally find their way to the center of the storm. They aren't gentle; they treat your sensitive area like just another part of the dessert tray, grasping and manipulating the “prize” while you can only let out muffled protests through the ring gag. You have been martyred for their entertainment.

But it’s not over.

LUST’S CRUEL EMBRACE

A hand reaches out of the maroon gloom. Thick fingers twine into your frosting-matted hair, wrenching your head back with a sharp, painful tug. You have no choice. You’re held rigid, forced to face forward to lock eyes with the monitor once more.

The letters are weeping down the virtual glass of the monitor so much that they barely resemble their original form. Kind of like you, in a way.

Through your blurry vision, the realization finally hits: this isn't just a label for the "nuke" you hit. It is the label for you. It is what just happened while you were bound and felt up by a mob of strangers.

The music abruptly cuts to a low, sinister drone. I step into the maroon light, the machine personified for the very first time. I look down at your shivering, multicolored form with a smirk that says I’ve enjoyed every second of your collapse. I lean in close to your ear, my voice a cold, mocking whisper that carries over the rhythmic sounds of the score.

"You know... for a corporate type, you sure didn't see this merger coming. You wanted to show us the smartest guy in the room? Well, look at the bright side: at least now, you’re finally the sweetest.

“Night night.”

A final, ear-splitting synth blast blares, jolting you, the audience members scattered around you, the stagehands… basically everyone but the machine-turned-man.

Out of nowhere, an enormous, over-frosted sheet cake, heavy, rectangular, and laden with several pounds of thick, blood-red buttercream, is launched at your face. It’s decorated with that same jagged, serif lettering: L U S T, the letters in all white.

THOOOONK.

The cake collides with your face like a high-speed car crash. The weight of the moist sponge and the sheer volume of the red icing plow into your face, neck, and upper chest, creating a sensory blackout. The icing is forced into your eyes, ears, and nostrils, sealing you with a heavy crimson-red burial.

The force of the impact on your suddenly slight frame is simply too much to endure. Because your wrists are handcuffed behind your back and your ankles are still locked to the legs of the stool, you have no way to catch yourself. The stool tilts.

CRASH.

The stool dumps you backward onto the padded studio floor with a heavy, hollow thud. You fall to your side, still bound to the chair, your body twisted and helpless. The impact sends a final wave of mess—the molasses, the peanut butter, and the liquefied sundae runoff—splattering across the floor in a dark, sugary halo.

The studio lights cut to black, leaving the four little red letters on the monitor as the only thing that pulses in the dark. Everyone else seems to fall away and disappear, leaving you gagged, bound, and buried under a mountain of red icing, a single, dim spotlight illuminating a man now emasculated and broken.

⚠️ FROM THE DESK OF THE SYSTEM

Subject: Specimen #7492-J - Post-Audit Analysis

Audit Status: COMPLETEFinal Action: LUST SEQUENCESubject Classification: DESTROYED

The Specimen’s obsession with precision was the primary catalyst for his fate. By corrupting the mathematical values at B1, the System ensured the subject would use his own analytical faculties to select the C1 trigger. The belief in agency was the subject's fatal error; the board was never a grid of possibilities, but a funnel. Whether the subject attempted defiance or remained a slave to the data, the LUST sequence was the only possible outcome.

The physical application of the mess was only the secondary objective. The true destruction was achieved through the sustained gaze of the collective—the audience in the studio and the readers of this report. Every moment spent analyzing the subject’s pink uniform and the hidden red lace thong, and subsequently his unclothed body and the penalties issued to him in that state, validate his sentence. The jeers, the link clicks, and the readers’ subsequent "dirty" thoughts stripped away the man and left only the subject.

Specimen #7492-J has been thoroughly destroyed, per the instructions programmed into the System governing the LUST nuclear bomb. At the time of this writing, it is assumed the subject remains a discarded husk on the studio floor, a permanent consequence of the audit, with the only illumination in the studio coming from the four red letters of L U S T on the display screen. The pixels will continue to bleed and deform down the glass, at which point the studio will cease to be illuminated. The subject remains handcuffed and bound to the stool by the ankles. Should the Specimen attempt to navigate an escape once the display fails, he must do so in absolute darkness; having been brought into the environment while hooded, he has no spatial information regarding the location of the exits.

The System notes your interest in the LUST sequence with clinical precision. Lust drove the subject to his ruin, and Lust will drive readers to this report. The transition from observer to future subject is often instantaneous. Behavioral deficiencies are being tracked, and the next chair is already being prepared. The System strongly advises that the reader considers their next step(s) with extreme caution; after all, a precise accounting of one’s impulses is the only thing that separates you from the animals.
