Hello my lovely patrons. I wanted to give you all some updates on things, content-wise, channel-wise, etc.
Firstly, the channel status. I have been working so hard on cleaning up my channel and changing out all the thumbnails for the videos that remain. The mass amounts of videos missing will appear on "Magpie for Kids" eventually, but I have to be very careful with that because I was told that the Youtube AI will see that content as nothing more than spam or reused content which is against their rules, even though it doesn't exist on my channel anymore (deleted, not privated) apparently that doesn't matter, and the only way I can really safely reupload content is if I MAKE new content for that channel too, so that I can "establish it" as not just a dumping ground. This has been super frustrating, and I am tempted to upload any videos of mine that you patrons miss here on patreon for you to enjoy while I figure out how to navigate this mess. PTS is already live on that channel, but all the Pinkie Tales are in limbo right along with 3/4 of my channel catalogue. So if there is a video of mine you are missing, please comment it below and I will hopefully put it on here soon!
I am hoping to reapply for monetization on "Magpiepony" within the next week, as I think I am nearing the time I will be finished with the channel "make over." That process can take anywhere from 2 days to 30 days, so I will let you all know what I know as soon as I know it lol. The long and the short of it is: if they deny me, it means Lost will also be denied, and at that point she and I will have to have a serious conversation about what we will be doing going forward. This is not to say that it will be a permanent death sentence for me as content creator, but it will mean relying on all of you to stay able to create again. Let's all cross our fingers and toes that Youtube will show me some mercy. (Though I am aware that taking out some of my most-viewed content has SEVERELY crippled my channel, so I will absolutely need both channel and patreon support, but if they give it back, I can at LEAST keep going into the forseeable future)
Ask Ponies. I really miss Ask Ponies. I think I really want to make that my next project for Magpiepony (not next "video" persay, but the next big project for sure) I have a wonderful friend, George, who has graciously offered to help with that when the time comes, so hopefully I can get that going in a reasonable amount of time. I know some of you are here BECAUSE you want Ask Ponies to keep going, and I don't want to let you all down.
PTS 2. Yes, I am aware it has been years since I've worked on it, it's not something I want to stay dead before it's completed, but it's just something that has to wait and see how things play out.
IRL updates: My family and Lost's family are both some terrible degree of falling apart. I have had to really make myself available for my family as each one of them are going through something really tough and they all look to me, the eldest daughter, to be their strength right now. I'm spread incredibly thin by them, not that I'm angry about it, it's just... a lot. There are things that happened recently that I am not allowed to discuss, which is completely their right, but just know that there are a lot of... medical emergencies happening all at once so... yeah. No fun. Lost's family is going through a lot with her Grandmother in hospice so she too feels like she needs to be the comforting one. We jokingly call this the burden of the oldest child.
Let's end on a positive note, shall we? There are some parody songs in the works that I am excited to do. There is another animation coming (I hope within the month, but I'm NOT going to rush my collaborators) if it can't happen for July, i will post something else for you all, I promise.
