Hello, patrons!
We're happy to come to you with the first version update of the new year! Last update we were still laying the groundwork for this last push of Coffee Buns development, which meant we had more unfinished art than usual, but this time we've completed that work and have even more to share with you.
Lets take a look at what's in store!
New Story - Ash Date 2
Ash is the last romanceable character to have her second date written, and it features the return of Aiden! Ash hasn't had her fill of her new male alter ego and wants Leo's help to take him out for a spin. That involves a nice, chill bro hangout with Leo in his old body. Surely that will help clarify Leo's self-conception and identity, right?
New Art - Five Finished CGs
Not only do you have the illustration above for Ash's new story chapter, but there's an additional CG in the update, as well as finished CGs for all of last update's Roman chapter! Mira was really looking forward to illustrating this one, and has a lot more action and alternates you'd usually get in a date CG. We really invested in some dramatic lighting as you can see.
Plus, as a bonus, we completed Ash's "The War" illustration from her previous date if you'd like to rewind and see that as well.
New Art - New Sprites
So we wouldn't have drawn Aiden for the beach day if we weren't going to reuse him, right?
Actually, don't tell us whether we'd put in the effort to draw a one-time use sprite.
But we were planning to draw him again in his new fuckboy outfit! But that's not the only sprite update in this version! We've got a Roman tail animation and an updated Leo casual outfit and some new arm poses along with the final character in a series of cameo appearances near the end of the story if you'd like to check again to see the whole group fully illustrated at last.
