Good morning and hello! Saturday is here!
I had a fairly productive week last week, I think!
I had to do more computer maintenance, which was a little nerve wracking 😅 That firmware update I said I did last week actually never went through. The computer was just restarting without applying the update. Turns out that my time machine backup filled with backups from like 5 operating systems ago was being treated as corrupted [ or maybe it really was corrupted, I dont know LMAO ] so I had to wipe the external drive, reformat it, and get a new backup on there. That's a harrowing experience because my main computer was acting goofy and I had to nuke all my backups 😬 But it went fine, I got the external drive working again and backing up properly, which cleared the way for the firmware update to go through properly.
Only problem now is that that my computer still sometimes doesn't wake up after it's been asleep 😩So... if anyone happens to be running Tahoe on a mac and knows how to fix the 'unable to wake from sleep' bug, let me know [ as far as I can tell on forums, nobody's fixed it and everyone is using workarounds... despite the OS being out for 9 months. Sigh ]
ASIDE FROM THAT work's been going pretty smoothly. I've had to take a few breaks here and there for headaches/fatigue but for the most part I'm on track!
I worked on a LOT of side-sprites last week, Lawrence was off-screen a lot LMAO Let's see what I can find for you guys.

I also have something I'd like to share! My friend Darqx [ the creator of Rire in BTD1 ] made a fun animated video to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of the original BTD! ^o^
But before I link you, I need to get serious for a second. The reason I never shout anyone else out or talk about online friends in public any more is because literally every single person I've been friends with publicly online has been harassed by fans of my work.
If you, for example, get a 'mysterious bad feeling' when you see me praising or paying attention to someone else, that's jealousy, and stalking the shit out of them to find dirt and get other people to attack them is actually just torment and abuse- not 'keeping other people safe'. I've seen the same pattern play out, honest to god, hundreds of times, and I am absolutely out of patience for it.
I really want to show you guys this, because it's awesome and fun and Darqx worked hard on it. But if I find out that you guys made Darqx's life harder because I linked this, I will not forgive you.
Sorry to be harsh there, I know it's not fun to read. I also know the above doesn't apply to everyone, probably not to most. But it must be said for the few that need to hear it.

I hope my harsh warning wasn't too off-putting. I know that most of you would never do such a thing. In fact, you guys have been so supportive and positive. I've gotten such wonderful and heartfelt comments lately. I can be so jaded when it comes to internet culture, because I've seen too much. You guys keep surprising me though, you somehow keep a little light of faith in people burning in me.
It's really boosted my confidence and made me feel like I can do this. I want you guys to know how much I appreciate you and your company during this development. Thank you guys so much!

I finally got her grass growing properly thanks to a youtube comment on the official product video for it LMAO [ turns out that trying really hard was killing it and the best way to grow it is to dump everything in with 2 cups of water and literally never touch it again 🙈 ]
