Here’s a REAPER script I’ve been using in my mastering workflow. It was originally made just for me, but someone spotted it in the TunaVerb demo a couple of weeks ago and asked about it—so I thought I’d put it up here.
The script scans your project (Master, Tracks, and Item Takes) and lists all inactive FX (bypassed or offline). From there you can:
Delete all inactive plugins in one go, or just the ones you select.
Toggle FX on/off for quick A/B before deciding if you want to keep them.
Open and close the plugin GUI directly from the list (the button lights up when the window is open).
Bulk activate/deactivate all selected FX at once.
Filter the list by plugin name, track, take, or state.
I use it all the time after finishing a master to clear out unused plugins. Sometimes you don’t want to remove every inactive plugin—maybe you want to keep one or two around—and this script makes that quick and painless.
Requirements
REAPER v6 or later
ReaImGui (bundled with modern REAPER, or install via ReaPack)
Installation
Download the .lua file from the links below.
In REAPER, go to Actions → Show Action List.
Click Load… and select the script file.
The script will now appear in your Action List—you can run it from there, or assign it to a toolbar button or shortcut.
