I just updated TunaVerb with a bunch of new features, and while it was already fun to use, it’s now even more fun and a bit more flexible. Originally, TunaVerb was built to hide things in the background—adding depth and width without drowning the mix in reverb. That’s still true, but with the new tools in v1.11 you can just as well throw it on a lead vocal, a guitar solo, or anything you want to push up front.
The core idea is still the same: TunaVerb only reverberates tonal content. Transients, bursts of noise, and sibilance get stripped away before they reach the reverb engine, which keeps things clean and avoids the unwanted wet mud crazyness you may get from using reverb.
What’s new in v1.11
Invert mode – Flip the concept: instead of cutting transients out, send only the transients into the reverb engine. Great for making upfront sounds feel wider and more alive.
Lush control – Adds a subtle chorus effect to the reverb for extra stereo depth.
Duck controls – The old automatic ducking is now fully user-controllable with Amount, Attack, and Release settings. Lets you keep a mix feeling almost dry, while still bathing it in reverb.
Input normalization switch – Normalizes the signal that drives the ducking. Useful for weak sources.
Pan control – Shifts the reverb left or right (technically balance), giving you more ways to shape the stereo field.
