Hey Patrons,
Floating Faders have got the same treatment as the other Reaper Script this week. It will now pass key commands through to Reaper's main window. I also added a small box to enter values. That's it, as you were and cheers!

Floating Faders lets you pick almost any control in Reaper — plugin parameters, track volume, pan, sends, and now even media item volume — and turn them into small floating faders, all next to each other.
You build your own custom control strip.
The script tracks what you last touched, and you can decide: “Yes, that one. Make it a fader.”
You can reorder faders, reset them with a double-click, remove them, open their plugin windows, open the mixer, and even ignore plugins you don’t want to accidentally detect ever again.
I made this script purely for myself at first. I was working on a massive project — around 300 channels — where I needed a couple of very specific controls side-by-side:• The volume from channel 1• A send from channel 155• An Amount-parameter inside a plugin on channel 180…all next to each other.
There’s no built-in way to do that in Reaper. Sure, Reaper can expose parameters in TCP/MCP, but it’s slow, spread out over different places, and you can’t gather controls from completely different tracks into one small floating strip. I needed something faster, cleaner, and always available.
So I wrote this script.
I’ve been improving it for my own workflow over several weeks, and I thought it might be time for you guys to try it out. That’s why the version number was already high even at release.
If you work with big sessions, or you just want your most important controls visible at all times, this script will save you a ridiculous amount of time.
Quick Start
Run the script.
Touch a control in Reaper.Move a plugin knob, a track volume, a send, a pan, or a media item’s volume.
Click the header of the Floating Faders window. This adds whatever you just touched.
Done. You now have a floating fader for that control.
Repeat as needed, reorder them, and build your own control layout.
