Devin heaved the overloaded checked bag onto the pavement outside the home that raised him. The sun and the mist of the ocean kissed his skin, reminding him of all those summers long ago. The rays bounced off Mariah’s sunglasses as she adjusted her outfit in the reflection of the car. Her hands smoothed out her blouse, watching the buttons in the dim window threaten to burst free. Mariah tried her best to contain herself, but it wasn’t enough. Not for someone growing at her rate. Her supplements were having an interesting effect with the mixture of dairy products in her belly. She slid a hand under her bosom to her pudgy belly.
“Oof… I don’t think the milk is sitting well.” She took a deep breath, unaware of what was in store for her and Devin soon. She took a deep breath, exhaled, and nabbed a small bag and her purse. The gym might be helping with her back muscles but she still had two oil drum-sized teats blocking the front half of her body. Devin hauled the rest up the short stairway to his parent’s lovely home.
Well, his home as well. He hadn’t quite accepted that this wasn’t his home anymore. “I guess it’s in the mountains now? Or… maybe it’s my apartment in the city.” It hadn’t hit him until this moment. The home he knew, with all his toys and posters and family photos - was gone.
This wasn’t done out of malice from his parents. Far from it, to be truthful. They needed a second source of income outside of his father’s retirement fund so they downsized to a much smaller home further away from the coast and they rented this one out. Thankfully, Devin was able to reserve it for one of their busiest weekends of the year.
Maybe it was due to guilt because Devin couldn’t say goodbye to his childhood home or possibly some other reason that escaped him at this time, but Devin was grateful to be “home”. It was clear that a million thoughts were going through his head. All Mariah could do was put a hand on his back, a breast in his side, and look him in the eyes to let him know she was here for him.
His nerves melted if only a bit. She knew her breasts had that effect on him, so she tried to fit in any fondling now before they were trapped with the parents. She leaned in to kiss Devin, reminding him that she was his anchor. He can weather the storm as long as they are together. Out of sight of any possible onlookers, she guided one of his hands up to the underside of one of her breasts. She let out a small gasp, biting her lip while locking her hungry eyes onto his.
“Babe…”
“Yes, babe?”
“I have a little secret for you…”
“What’s that?” He asked, his fingers tracing the underside of her tit, feeling like he was tracing a weather balloon that was about to burst. It was clear she was as sensitive as ever. Before she could speak again, her voice caught as she heard footsteps nearing the door. Mariah brushed his hand away and gave him one last side hug before the front door flew open.
Before the couple stood an older couple, closer to their 70s than their 60s, each smiling and dressed immaculately. Polos and linen pants, as if they were modeling for a golf course newsletter. Mariah had gotten used to seeing people’s eyes bug out of their heads at the sight of her, but a pit in her stomach grew heavier seeing the mother of her boyfriend look at her with disgust. Her voice and words, on the other hand, tried to paint a picture of nonchalance.
“Devin, honey! It’s so good to see you! And you must be… Marina?” Devin’s mother bumbled her way their Mariah’s name, her eyes fighting the force of gravity, not to be drawn down to her son’s girlfriend’s ridiculous chest.
“Mariah, actually.” Mariah awkwardly laughed out, swatting the air as if it didn’t bother her. “It’s so nice to meet you, ma’am.”
“Oh pss-ah, no need for formalities, dear. You can call me Sherry,” this was the first of many physical blunders to happen this weekend. Sherry leaned in for a hug, her normal greeting for friends and strangers alike. Once her body connected with one of Mariah’s enormous breasts, she froze. Her brain struggled to find a way to hug her son’s girlfriend without feeling her up. Both women were growing red in the face until Mariah took the plunge. She wrapped whatever part of her arms could reach behind Sherry and gave her back a few nervous pats. The women disconnected like they’d each touched a live wire.
“I’m Will, dear. Pleasure to meet you.” Devin’s father was quick on his feet and extended a hand, bypassing the awkward hug altogether. Mariah sighed under her breath as she took his hand, grateful she didn’t need to smother an old man with her jumbo jugs.
“Pleasure is all mine, Will. Thank you both so much for having us.” Sherry and Will were quick to hug their son, Sherry giving him a peck on the cheek.
“We’re so happy to have you! It’s been far too long since Devin visited or even called for that matter. What’s the matter, slugger? Couldn’t get away from us fast enough?” Will joked, playfully slapping the back of his hand to his son’s chest.
Devin winced, realizing just how long it had been since he’d seen his folks. They didn’t have a clue just how hard his first year alone had been. He buried that guilt and gave a weak smile. “It’s been really busy the past few months. We’re just happy to see you for the day before you jet off.”
“Please, come in.” Sherry waved them both in. Devin backed away as Mariah wrestled her chest through the door. Will’s eyes were nearly popping out of his head until Sherry gave his arm a smack. Sherry ushered Mariah upstairs. “I’ll show you where you’ll be staying while the boys bring in the luggage.” The old house’s wooden steps groaned loudly under the immense weight of Mariah’s form, which Sherry tried to talk over to try to avoid the topic.
Devin and his father brought in the bags and headed for the kitchen. His parents had already set out a few wine glasses and dinner was in the oven. Will poured a beautiful red from the most expensive bottle of wine Devin had had in his adult life. The twinge of inadequacy was back, but Devin fought to bury it. “It’s good to see you, Dad.”
“It’s great to see you, sport. Hope you know I’m always pulling your leg,” he laughed, cheersing his glass to his son’s and take a swig of th vino.
“Yeah, Dad. I know,” Devin tried to bury that frustration as well. “It’s kinda weird, isn’t it?”
“Oh, I don’t think so.”
Devin gave his father a look of confusion. “You don’t? How do you know what I mean?”
“It’s obvious, kiddo. Bodies come in all shapes and sizes. Who am I to judge?” Will drank his glass as Devin tried to parse what his father was getting at.
“Dad… I’m talking about the house. It’s weird to be here even though you moved out.”
“OH! Yes, that too.” His dad seemed unphased by what he’d just said.
“Please, don’t take pity on Mariah. She’s a grown woman and she’s working on her self-image.”
“I’ll say. But son, isn’t there such a thing as ‘too much’ when it comes to … enhancements?” Again, Devin was taken aback. It was like a firehouse of dicey topics hitting him all at once.
“Dad, knock it off!” Devin said it in a hushed tone through clenched teeth, fighting to meet his father’s confident yet confused gaze.
“What? I’m just saying…”
“Dad! She has a condition. This is normal and healthy and she doesn’t need any more comments about it.”
“Well, how was I supposed to know that?” Devin rolled his eyes at this. “Don’t be so sensitive, son. You just got here. Don’t sour the weekend for everyone.”
Now Devin’s blood started to boil. “Dad. Mariah is nervous enough. Please, keep your comments to yourself and we won’t have a problem.” His stern demeanor surprised both of them. For such a quiet kid and teen, a confident and assertive Devin was new territory for both of them.
Will did what he usually did when dealing with an ‘emotional’ son - he rolled his eyes, drank his wine, and changed the subject.
“So… how’s the job treating you? You should be running that place by now.” The soft laugh at the end of the sentence would make a random third-party observer think Will was joking - he was never joking. He didn’t expect his son to be CEO, but he always wanted more from his son and wasn’t shy about sharing that belief.
“It’s been tough… adjusting to everything,” Devin drank his wine while fighting to stand up straight, not allowing his father’s jabs to get to him. “I’ve been getting faster and more comfortable with my teammates. If things go well, I’m looking at a sizable bonus…” Will cut his son off before he could continue.
“That sounds great, slugger, but if you think that’s tough - take a look at my rentals. Three condos and they all need new plumbing?! I can’t catch a break. Thankfully, insurance will cover it all.” Devin could feel himself slowly reverting back to his old role of Dad’s sounding board. He knew his Dad didn’t need to worry about these sorts of things, but he was always a fan of hearing himself speak.
With a big sigh, Devin held up his glass, “To insurance.” Will clinked his glass with his son with a smile.
“What’s taking those ladies so long?” Will looked over his shoulder toward the kitchen entrance. Will noted that the timer for the dinner was nearly complete.
“Mariah may need a hand upstairs. Be right back, Dad.”
“Don’t through your back out, champ.” A hearty laugh punctuated the tasteless joke.
“Dad!”
“She isn’t here! Lighten up, Devin.” Will turned toward the bay windows and looked out on the wonderful day. Devin centered himself as he made his way upstairs. All the family photos, shadowboxes with his childhood achievements, even his artwork that had lined the stairway walls - all gone. Replaced with tame, motel art to create a neutral environment for the next renter. Devin expected these sorts of changes, but he didn’t plan for this to hit him as hard as it had.
He could feel a knot forming in his chest as he approached his childhood room. The stickers that had adorned his bedroom door were removed - another stark reminder of the changes around him. He needed Mariah.
He lighly knocked on the cracked door and leaned over to peek inside. He saw Mariah’s purse on the couch in the rather spacious room and the door to the ensuite bathroom shut. He walked inside and took a seat on the edge of the bed, fighting to compare the room he was in now to the room Devin remembered when he left for college. Pictures with friends, band posters, and movie memorabilia were now packed away somewhere. He looked at these newly painted walls and only felt more hollow and distant the longer he stared.
He hung his head, fighting the creeping dark thoughts of the loss of his home, when he heard the bathroom door click open. Devin’s head shot up to see Mariah fixing her hair as she positioned one breast through the doorway, and then the other. “We should talk to your parents about making some…mmm… accommodations for the… differently abled.” She was having a bit of trouble pulling the other breast through but was able to with some effort. “You ok, Big D?”
Devin took a minute but shook off this dreadful feeling and smiled at Mariah. “Of course, M. Just weird interactions with my Dad.”
“Oh? Do tell. I had my own interesting interaction with your mother,” she giggled.
“Oh no,” the dread sank in. “What did she say?”
Mariah approached him, stopping short as her chest connected with his own. “Uh-uh, Mister. We can gossip later. I said I had a surprise and I couldn’t wait to share.” Her arm dove between her mammoth milkers and withdrew a clear bag. Devin had recognized it as one used for her milking machine. If she had been lactating, it would collect the milk throughout the day.
That said, she’d only been doing this routine for a short time and from what he could see, the bag was empty. “Close your eyes,” Mariah whispered.
Devin did as he was told. It was hard to fight her when hundreds of pounds of tit are resting on him. He shut his eyes as instructed and heard her whisper, “Open your mouth…”
He did as he was told and after a few seconds, Devin felt a slight sensation on his tongue. Like when he was a kid and trying to catch raindrops on his tongue during a storm. He opened his eyes to see Mariah wringing out the bag and on the edge, ready to drop down into his mouth again, was the tiniest droplet of milk.
“It’s started, Big D.” Her devilish grin curled up her face. It was working. She was starting to lactate.
