It was silent… as you and Sukuna rode through town. The horses were quite tired, so you let them clip-clop along at their own pace.
The people were asleep, but that wasn’t the only reason why things were so quiet.
It was awkwardly silent between your alpha and you.
A peculiar situation that created unusual tension.
In other words, there were still some obvious residuals from your explosive argument. Though you accepted your part, you wish Sukuna had been more vocal about his role.
However, despite how you felt, you didn’t want to reopen this chapter of your relationship. You were ready to be done with it. You hoped that whatever little thing he thinks up would finally settle the score for him.
Then you can finally get back to whatever the hell is going on in this world.
You had two more things to add to the tab, Yuji being a demon… and Nanami with his weird chains …
On the surface, you were calm and steady, but you were dying on the inside.
You just wanted to shut your brain off and let it go brr.
But no.
You gotta take up every moment. Every second, every minute.
Even now, in this awkward feud.
So yes, you will take whatever Sukuna and Gojo deem worthy of their forgiveness. Because you didn’t have time to wallow and pout.
You didn’t have time for your pack to be dismantled when you had worked so hard to get it to where it is. You knew you would be alright, but you needed to speed up the process.
This was you being the bigger person for the bigger picture.
Weren’t you the best damn prime omega this world could ask for…
You looked toward Sukuna, wanting to say something to him. To ease the tension before you get to Choso.
“Have you…decided…um…” You started the conversation confidently, but then trailed off. You didn't know what to call the exchange. You didn't necessarily think of it as punishment, but you knew that’s how Sukuna was going to view it. You viewed it as a… ‘I owe you for fucking up’- kind of thing.
Something more casual.
“Your punishment?” Sukuna questioned with a raised brow.
And Sukuna and most likely the others, viewed it as discipline.
“…Mhm…” You didn't say anything more, awaiting his answer. Sure, they can see it that way, who cares?
He shook his head, “No.”
You clicked your tongue, “Ah…tough decision?” You joked with a hint of a smile.
Your alpha released a snort, “Not in the way you think…” He paused for a moment before he looked forward, saying, “I’m trying to decide if I actually want to go through with a punishment or not.”
His admission caught you off guard.
“Oh…why’s that?”
“Do you want me to punish you?” He countered much too swiftly. His red eyes snapped to you.
“Ah- no, no, not exactly… I just want… things to go back to how it was… before… all of that…” This time, you had to move your gaze away. Thinking about that night made you remember the mental pain of hurting each other. It was horrible and left you uneasy. You don't want to ever go through that again with anyone in your pack.
The two of you had fallen silent once again.
Some time had gone by, and your horses made it over the bridge.
Well, it would seem you exhausted this conversation. It wasn’t the worst talk, and maybe you got somewhere with it. Was there little Sims + sign above Sukuna’s head right now? Meh, you don’t know, but your next talk after Choso will have to be with your stressed-out blonde. You had more appointments to attend to.
More alphas to check in on.
You can't give Sukuna all your time.
Sukuna shifted on his horse, moving in front of you, as you stopped on the outskirts of the forest.
He looked frustrated, and you knew why when he started talking, “…Maybe. I was in the wrong, too. Maybe the idiot was right.”
He was unsure of himself.
An unsure Sukuna called for an annoyed Sukuna. It was like he did not like the very thought of letting you off easy. Yet something was telling him that would be the right thing to do...or someone- You replayed his words and had to echo the part that had you backtracking-
'The idiot was right'-
“What idiot?”
“Tch- your big dumb daddy.”
Now that made sense.
You let out a little giggle while Sukuna seemed to be further frustrated with such vulnerability. Toji was probably wholeheartedly Team Princess. You remembered how angry he looked when you told all of them what happened. He probably pulled Sukuna to the side to tell him he was the one at fault. You don’t think your big alpha put any blame on your plate.
You nodded while you spoke, “Ahuh, so Toji gave you an earful?”
Sukuna rolled his eyes, “I don’t think he’s done giving me an earful.”
You couldn’t help but laugh some more, an image of an angry Toji talking Sukuna’s ear off appeared in your very mind.
Your red-hot alpha, of course, didn’t see any of this as amusing. “I’m glad you find humor in this.” He snipped, but not as snippily as before.
Progress was being made.
“Haha~ sorry, but I already told you. The decision is yours, and even though Toji may not think I deserve a punishment… I gave you the option to decide.” You finished talking, throwing your leg over your horse, and dropping to the ground. “I’m going to go up ahead… I think it would be best if I spoke with Choso alone… or as alone as possible…” You handed your horse's straps to Sukuna, who was still glaring at nothing.
Still stuck in his mind.
When you were about to release the leather, Sukuna grabbed your wrist, “And what of you huh? Do you think you deserve it? After what you did?"
By it, you assume he was referring to your punishment. And by the way he was speaking, it sounded like he was still coming from a place of hurt.
He was still wounded...
“…Truthfully, no. I don’t. I already took back my request. So…knowing that there's a chance… a small chance or big one I don’t know but there’s still that possibility that Raven can take over and murder the ones I love…yeah, that is punishment enough. Trust me.”
...and so were you.
There was a slip of anger in your voice. One that you could not seal. You weren’t sure who it was truly aimed at. Your alphas for letting you carry this fear, or yourself for letting such an idea consume you.
Sukuna stared at you for a while; you couldn’t tell how he felt about your truth. But now was not the time for you to digest it with him.
You had other things to do.
"Sukuna...I need to go speak with Choso..."
He finally released your wrist, “...Don’t go too far...”
“Yes, alpha.” You nodded and then went on your way. You would let him simmer on the topic. It’ll be good for him. Maybe he can realize it is you who got the short end of the stick…and you were still willing to ask for his forgiveness.
You didn’t get far before you smelt the flowery scent.
Choso peeked out from behind a tree, looking toward you, then past your head at Sukuna.
“Hey Choso.” You greet the beta despite his attention on someone else.
“I’m happy to see you so soon…” He finally moved his eyes toward you. “Have the witches… returned your memories?” He looked eager- hopeful even.
You swallowed a hard lump as you moved to sit on a log near his campsite. It was a desolate spot with not even a fire to keep it warm. “No… They haven’t…I'm sorry...”
“It was a lie…” He said, almost as if he knew this would happen.
“No...not a lie, they just haven’t figured it out quite yet…"
"...I told you...you can't trust them..." He whispered.
"I don't trust all of them...But I do trust Yuta. He has been helping me a lot and sticking up for me after I saved his life...and he even listened to me when I told him not to hurt you..."
"..." Choso looked away, mixed emotions painted across his face.
Perhaps the most prominent expression was shame...
"Are you...upset that he is still alive?"
The beta took a deep breath, "...I am happy you are here...but Father won't be pleased about this...and the witches being alive will further upset him...”
You furrowed your brows, "You haven't told them yet?"
"No..."
"Why...I mean, I know it's because he will be mad, but you...you did all of this to help me, and I am actively going against your father...so why?"
Choso finally moved, his steps ever so light. He sat on the log next to you and held his hand out, palm side down. "The same reason your alpha allowed me to travel with you."
You looked at his hand, but you didn't see anything. "What?"
"My blood oath." He spoke the symbol into existence, a red sigil bled into the top of his hand. It looked like a crude kanji symbol with a jagged slash in the middle of it.
"Whoa- you have a blood oath? For what? What is your contract?"
"...To you..." He said, tucking his hands into his sleeves, all of a sudden, he seemed shy. "...I promised... I'd protect you..."
A blood oath? To Raven? Fucking hell.
This beta had literally given his life to Raven. You felt a cold shiver ripple upon your skin. The more you spoke to Choso the more you felt like shit for just existing in this world.
You were no longer the woman that he had given his life for.
Even if you were the same people you weren’t at the same time.
“…Did you… Love…” Me? Raven? You couldn’t decide what would fit.
“…Did?” Choso’s face grew red. “You're cold… let me get you warm…” He swiftly changed the subject.
You couldn't even respond; you just let him believe you were cold despite your firestone earrings.
But what was giving you chills was the fact that he did- and possibly still loved Raven.
Raven...
Not you.
His relationship with you was not something you built. You felt like an imposter, taking over another woman’s face. This was almost the exact fear that you had with your alphas. If Raven took over, you'd hope she wouldn't murder them... but what if that bitch turned them evil or something? And the most fucked up thing is- THEY'D PROBABLY WOULD FOLLOW HER! Just like Choso is going against his father now for another version of the woman he knew!
Fucked. That’s the only way you could describe this. This was all the way fucked up!
“Are... you not cold?” You questioned, trying to distract yourself from this uncanny feeling that had your stomach tumbling. But your voice came out so tiny...like you could barely talk.
You felt if you opened your mouth too much, vomit would spew out.
"Sorry, I couldn’t hear you."
"Oh...I just asked if you were…um cold..."
The beta smiled a bit, “No, not at all. It’s much much, colder in Kushuto. It snows almost year-round…” Choso finished, sitting back as the fire grew and crackled. “…You loved the snow...but some days not so much...I think as time went by, you hated it...said it made you feel...trapped...cold..."
You swallowed the bile in your throat. You weren't sure how long you could listen to him talk about a past you. You took a deep breath as you pushed out your words-
“I’m sorry Choso.”
“For?”
“I… I feel bad that I’m not the Raven you promised to protect… with your soul…I feel like..." You shrug, "...I’m a whole new person…but the same person all at the same time… I don’t know how to explain it…but...I'm sure you wish I were that woman that you grew up with...the one you shared precious memories with…but I'm not...and…I-I don't think I want to become her... I heard she was cruel...and mean to others...that's not me."
"..." Choso blanked, staring at the flickering of flames. His eyes softened as he spoke, "...You...were in a lot of pain... constant agony...I don't fault you for having your moments...but...you were never…cruel to me...not always...“
"That's horrible Choso...I should not have treated you poorly even if I was sick…”
"You may see it as me making excuses for you but… you just wouldn’t understand what you were going through at the time and to be honest.." Choso drifted off, looking toward you, "...I think that’s why I don't... want you to have all your memories back…"
That caught you off guard, "You...don't want me to remember you?"
"No...I would love that...but if remembering me causes you to reopen those horrible years, then I would rather you forget them... you seem..." He took your appearance in with his eyes as if he were looking at your very soul for the first time. "...Healthier...you hadn't had one outburst."
“Healthier? Outbursts? Geeze…Was I crazy? Did you guys not prescribe me some Husho?"
Choso released a snort, "Trust me...we tried...but..." He furrowed his brows, thinking about how to explain your situation. “…If I talk about the past...are you sure you can handle it? I do not wish to make you have a manic episode."
Damn, you thought Raven was crazy when she went back home, but maybe she was crazy day one.
"No Choso, I won't freak out."
At least you fucking hope not.
"Okay..." Choso nodded, "Well...You were attacked..." The beta began slowly, making sure you were digesting what he was saying without losing it. "...Father had found you on the coast near death. The details about it… is quite gruesome…”
“I want to know… don’t leave anything out…”
Choso seemed to hesitate, but he continued, “You had…limbs missing…and you were covered in this…stuff…like black flames…or tar…it was like eating away at every part of your flesh…”
“Oh…” Your stomach sank, you know you asked for the gory bits but damn…that sounded horrible.
Choso nodded at your clear unease. "I was about five, but we hadn't a clue how old you were. You were just...It was hard to even tell you were human. But Father took care of you. It took many years...of you in that bed...the Ravenous birds always chirping at your window...waiting for you to die…” Choso’s lips quirked up a bit, “…That's where you got the name Raven from...you couldn't remember yours at the time...but Raven seemed to be the one you settled with… I would come visit you often...kept you company when you were awake...and we would talk for however long I could talk to you until you went back to sleep…you would talk...about this strange place you believed you were from." Choso shook his head, "Your mind was...not right... Some days it was, and some days it wasn't…”
"Wait..." You shifted your body toward him,"...What was the strange place I was from? I thought I was from Kushoto?”
Choso clicked his tongue, "You...uh...father said that you probably came from a lost island that was destroyed by whatever attacked you, but it was some place you called Earth."
You felt your spine tense up, "Earth?" You repeated in bewilderment.
"Yeah..." Choso nodded, "...I think it was just a place you escaped to during your...healing process... but when you would wake up you would tell me about this...place as if it were real...but it sounded so strange. You would talk about the boxes that played shows...you called them TVs and movies. I figured if it were real, then this island you were from was beyond our imagination. It sounded strange..But I wasn't sure if it was real or not but...it was real to you so...I would just follow along. But after hearing you talk about them with your pack I guess it was a real island. Was that where you are from? Earth? Do you remember that?”
Your mouth dropped open and you had to slap a hand to it. You were about to absolutely freak out- "Oh…oh wow..."
"What’s wrong?”
You couldn't decide if you wanted to tell him the truth, tell him that Earth was a real place and it was where you were from...but instead of an island it was a damn planet from a whole other universe…and apparently it was where Raven was from too…
Were you dealing with a repeat life? Have you been stuck in a cycle perhaps? Were you here the entire time?
“You’re starting to freak out…” Choso spoke softly. “…Perhaps we should stop talking about this…”
"N-no...I need to know-um… shit…okay…when you would call Raven by...my-my name...she would have...a manic episode right?"
"Yes...”
“So how did you find out about my real name if she didn’t remember it and she just so happened to float upon your coast?”
“Mahito was the one who gave me your real name...he told me that you told him and not me…” Choso seemed a bit jealous of the memory but then he looked pained, “But when I brought the name up you freaked out and...You kept saying that wasn't you...but here you are now...fine with both names...and no manic episodes...no need for any healing…so...I thank the alphas for finding someone who could completely cure you."
"Was I not fully healed when I went to the Omega house?"
"No...not quite...that stuff…it never went away. Father would have to keep fixing it when it would spread...you told me it was like cancer. A disease from your island." Choso reached up to touch your head; truly, you didn't even notice his warm hand upon your temple. You were spiraling too much from all this information he was telling you.
Choso smiled. "Yeah...I don't sense any of it... That’s amazing…who healed you?"
"Did wha-"
A knife came whizzing by, making Choso snatch his hand away from you just in time. The blade thunked into the tree behind you, the dragon handle wiggling back and forth from the mere force of it being thrown.
"Keep your hands to yourself, or I’m cutting them off next time." Sukuna growled at Choso, standing across from both of you.
Choso glared at Sukuna, his usual calm face morphing into fury at the sight of the other man. “…There is something else …I must also tell you...”
Your eyes widened as you watched Choso stand, his hands moving into a fighting stance.
“Wait- no don’t fight!” You stood up but Choso continued.
“You would have countless nightmares that were always the same…A four-armed beast tearing you limb from limb… The very demon by the name of Ryoumen Sukuna. You may have forgotten but Father was certain he was the one who attacked you.”
Sukuna released a growl, and his body began to steam. “I never attacked any fucking island! And I never hurt her and I never would!”
“Don’t lie! There was a reason she was scared of you, many nights I would have to sit with her as she cried! Though she may have forgotten I refuse to let her pain be in vain!”
“Don’t fucking piss me off!” Sukuna lunged toward you but Choso pushed you out of the way.
“I won’t let you harm Raven-“
“That’s not her fucking name!”
“Aye! Stop!”
There was a scuffle of mess, and you barely got your footing as the two attacked each other.
Choso and Sukuna were growling, fists flew as did fire and blood. You let out a shriek as you ducked from an arc of flames that fanned your way. Choso jumped away, “See you almost hurt her! You cannot take care of her!”
“Fuck you!”
The two were now jumping from tree to tree as they went deeper into the woods. Trying to get the fight away from you it would seem.
“Stop! Stop fighting you fucking idiots!” You shouted at them in anger running to catch up.
You don’t know if Sukuna actually attacked Raven but you just do not believe it to be true. You trust him. However, you weren’t sure why she would have trauma from him. You wouldn’t believe shit Kenjaku says. Something was missing here and you needed to figure it out before they kill each other.
As soon as you stepped into the clearing a gust of wind was blasted your way. You held onto a tree in an attempt not to tumble backwards. They were really fighting now, Sukuna phasing in and out of the air as he moved swiftly- Choso using his blood to whip it around in a tornado trying to slash him- cutting into every tree and ground it touched.
You can smell their scent being pushed out in waves, it was so heavy you felt dizzy from it. You had to use the tree to keep yourself stable.
“Fighting with your own blood-Ha! How much more of it can you use before you're all out?” Sukuna grinned as he landed on a tree branch.
“I’ll use it until you die!” Choso snapped, clapping his hands together in front of him. A bunch of blood orbs formed and fired one after another in rapid succession.
Sukuna jumped out of the way and began to run in a circle as the blood whizzed by him missing him by just a mere inch.
You pushed off the tree and yelled, “This isn’t helping…ah…” You folded with your hands on your knees, it was hard for you to even stand. It felt like their scent was physically pushing you to the ground. It felt like they were trying to get everything around them to submit with just their mere presence. You fell to the dirt with your legs shaking, “C-Can we fucking talk about this for just a sec-ah!” You didn’t finish your sentence, you hadn’t realized Sukuna circled until he got to you. The alpha scooped you up so fast you let out a grunt.
The spot you once were in was pelted by blood bullets. Dirt shooting up in the air.
“You almost hit her!” Sukuna yelled.
Choso gasp like he was in pain, his face dropping as he realized he could have hurt you- “Raven I’m-“
But Sukuna took this opportunity. He threw you back and zipped toward Choso all within one motion.
“SUKUNA DON’T!” You shouted in horror as his claws extended and slashed forward.
“Ngh-“ Choso faltered back, and five large marks appeared upon his chest. Blood and pieces of fabric whipped by as Sukuna slashed him again.
“SUKUNA!” You cried watching as Choso swayed back and forth right before Sukuna grabbed him by the back of his neck and slammed him on the ground harshly.
“Bastard-“ Choso hissed, scrambling to keep fighting but then he stilled when he felt Sukuna’s nail poking into his neck.
Your alpha grinned, “You move and I end your pathetic life.” Drops of red slid over Choso’s pale skin just from a tiny prick of Sukuna’s nail.
Yet Choso’s lip still raised in a snarl as he side-eyed the alpha above him. His hair had fallen out of its updo and fanned around his face, strands blowing out with each angry breath.
There was so much blood on the battlefield you weren’t sure how the hell Choso was still alive. You tried to move forward but the atmosphere was still heavy. So all you could do was crawl.
“Ok- that’s enough- don’t kill him Sukuna...” You spoke, almost out of breath. Sweat had you feeling clammy.
“He needs to know.” Sukuna snarled pushing on Choso’s neck with each enunciation, “You are my omega, mine to take care of my Lu Marcie! My (Y/n)! She’s not your fucking Raven!”
Choso stayed flat on the ground, but there was still defiance within his gaze.
Their mental fight felt just as intense as their actual fight. You could feel it, feel the violence that they wanted to enact on. Like lions baring their fangs and demanding respect. You could see some of the blood on the ground twitch in agitation, ready to fly at a whim.
It was funny really… You knew Choso was in pain but he showed the most amount of pain when he was afraid of hurting you within that split second.
Choso was willing to sit with you during a moment of darkness… keeping you company while you were sick and not in your right mind. A man who has sold his soul to another you… These were two people who cared deeply for you… Even if one of them loved a different version… it was still essentially you. You didn’t want to watch him get hurt just as much as you didn’t want Sukuna to get hurt.
You crawled closer, but even as you neared they hadn’t settled their standoff. “…We can talk about this…there’s no need to fight…” You spoke softly and slid your hand upon Sukuna’s.
As soon as you made contact, Sukuna grabbed you by your neck and pinned you to the ground right next to Choso.
You let out a gasp, feeling the shift happen in the blink of an eye.
You could feel the pressure now, if you thought it was worse before, being under Sukuna made that weight blanket over your form in a different way. Like it was seeping through your very pores. Your body was responding to him without it being touched. You could feel your glands itch, like they needed to be touched.
You released a whine now, your chest heaving as you begged for mercy with your plea. But for what you had no idea. Your legs squeezed as you trembled beneath him. You felt like your mind was slipping away and all you wanted to do was lie underneath Sukuna and let him do what he deemed fit as long as it would ease this growing ache.
You think you heard Sukuna and Choso talking but you couldn’t focus on it, you were too busy swimming in this new feeling.
Sukuna’s scent was so overpowering, it smelled so good. It was all you could think about.
You forgot why you were even here in the first place, “Kuna…“ You groaned not knowing what it was you needed. You felt like you were dipping into that other side. That other side where you get freaky and free but this wasn’t the time for that.
Right?
You couldn’t remember what was happening.
Your brain was starting to go brr and you wanted to welcome it so bad.
And that’s when you heard Sukuna’s voice echo around your mind like he was your very own thoughts.
“Who do you belong to omega?”
“You~ oh…” You gasp out. What a simple question. If you answer his questions will he release you from whatever this was? Will he take care of you?
“Are you mine?” His hand squeezed around your neck and why did it feel so comfortable?
So right?
You released another moan, “Y-yes… Sukuna I’m yours…” You felt the heat below was becoming a bit too much to bear. You reached down to touch between your thighs, your cold sweaty fingers eased it only a bit but then Sukuna snapped at you.
“Did I tell you you could touch yourself?” Though he sounded angry, you could have sworn you heard that cocky smirk in his tone.
“N-no please alpha… please it hurts…” You whined, bringing your shaky hands to his arm, your fingers slid over his muscles and veins and by Tengen, you were feeling your heart pick up just by that. He was so strong- such a good alpha- amazing- you loved him and he was yours- your alpha. “My alpha…” You purred appreciatively. You just liked touching him, you like him touching you.
You loved him dearly.
“Show me you are a good girl, submit to your alpha.”
All these emotions were smoothing your thoughts and it was so comforting to finally submit to Sukuna.
You dropped your arms to your side and let the pressure wrap you up like a blanket. Fighting this pressure hurt, giving in to it made everything so much better.
To give all your thoughts to Sukuna and trust him to do whatever.
You trust him wholeheartedly.
You will submit to him if that’s what he wants. If that would please him.
He rubbed your neck with a thumb, “That’s my girl…”
Just that praise had you squirming. You were loving every minute of it. “Sukuna~” Your eyes glossed over as they rolled to meet his red ones. There was nothing else you could see nothing else you could focus on but his very being. You loved how he was looking at you loved how he was giving you all of his attention just like you wanted that other night.
His lips pulled up into a smile and you just loved to see him happy.
“Present to me.” He ordered and then released your neck.
You were finally able to move you went to roll over to do just as your alpha asked but then your gaze met with Choso. Your breath immediately caught in your throat, and it was like you were slapped in the face with a cold ass wet fish. You froze, eyes widening in horror. How long was he there?! You had completely forgotten what was going on?!
You couldn’t tell what Choso was thinking, his expression seemed… with a touch of uncertainty.
He was waiting.
Waiting to see what you’d do.
“Present to me.” Sukuna urged.
You felt that pressure again, that feeling that weighed you down. The need for you to submit to Sukuna. It was so easy to do it, but to do that in front of Choso...
“S…Sukuna…”
“I’ve decided, this is what I want from you.”
