DESCRIPTION

These episodes were absolute chaos underneath. The kind of chaos where nobody is screaming or exploding, but you can FEEL everyone slowly falling apart. Screaming and exploding internally.Frank refusing the deal after seeing Reyes has me questioning everything. The second he saw her, he shifted. You could immediately tell something was wrong, something goes much deeper than revenge or pride. Whatever happened between them clearly broke something inside of him. He called her a straight up WITCH. Now I'm dying to know the full story because his reaction said more than words ever could.Karen has honestly become one of my favorite parts of this season. Which is a complete shock to me after how I felt about her in the beginning of the first one LOL. I love how much empathy she carries. How on her toes she is. She smells trouble from a mile away and has incredible instincts. She sees humanity underneath the monster everyone else points at. I think that's why Frank finally opens up around her differently than he can with anyone else. His confidence in her was beautiful and heartbreaking at the same time..But emotionally, these episodes really centered around Matt. He's unraveling. You can feel it. And it's because of Elektra. The flashbacks of their relationship are fascinating and honestly terrifying. I honestly don't love Elektra. She genuinely feels like the devil sitting on Matt's shoulder. She pulls him in further and further away from the version of himself that's trying to hold it all together. The version that still cares about justice, cares about human life, cares about Foggy & Karen. She feeds the darker part of him. The anger. The recklessness. The thrill of violence and smashing things for fun. The temptation to stop caring so much. And that worries me.It worries me because she's not entirely wrong about him. We've seen it. We've been told about it since Season 1.The Murdock boys got the devil in them.

You can tell Matt still believes he is different from that life with her. That he can and did choose restraint and morality and balance. But there's clearly a part of him that DOES understand Elektra. A part of him that thrives in the chaos she brings. And I think that scares him almost as much as it scared me watching it.Because then there's his growing relationship with Karen. And with Karen, you can see the life Matt WANTS to live. Something real. Honest. Stable and gentle and sweet. The kind that doesn't take her up to bed immediately. But he's trying to build that with so many secrets. He keeps shutting Foggy & Karen out while also wanting to be close to them. Foggy is exhausted. Karen is being left completely in the dark. And Matt.. He just keeps sinking deeper into this now double life where nobody really fully understands him anymore.I feel really sad for Matt right now. He feels torn between these two versions of himself. The more Elektra pushes him, the more worried I am about where he'll end up at the end of this season. You can see him slowly losing pieces of himself while still trying to convince everyone (even himself) that he's still in control. And I'm so stressed for him..Because secrets always come out.One way or another. It's only a matter of time.Thank you for your support on Patreon!Relax and enjoy 🍿🌿SYNC ALONG LINK: https://youtu.be/YpWyJWXktckI watched this on Disney+
