I put this movie off for so long bc deep ocean is a big no for me lol. I was really nervous going into this one BUT it's Spielberg and it's John Williams and I knew I couldn't avoid such an iconic movie forever!
So here I am.. actually GLAD I watched this one!It's incredible how much tension this movie creates without relying on constant action. Just watching everyone go about their daily sunbathing and ocean swimming lives was enough to give me heart palpitations after that first scene LOL.I loved the cast in this, too! Robert Shaw as Quint absolutely stole the show for me.. I recognized him from The Sting as Lonnegan, but here? WOW. He was incredible. The emotional whiplash I went through during their drunken chat comparing scars and stories on the boat.. He was such a fascinating character to watch.This movie was 100% worth the experience and sore throat from screaming so much.Sorry about anyone's eardrums out there btw 😂Also I had NO idea this was a 4th of July movie!
