First, just a heads up, $5 Tier supporters should get access to the last playable build some time tomorrow or the day after (Might be busy cause of Father’s day).Anyway, things have been pretty quiet since my last post, but the good news is that I have been working a lot on the game to really polish and finalize the gameplay. Here is a list of most of the things that have been worked on.
The Living Slime enemy has been fully animated and implemented into the game.
Sanity Gems (used to be orbs) have been given a new visual design to make them look more gem-like, which should make them more appealing to the game.
Scarab Keys have been giving updates on their look, and soon, there is gonna be some animation when Yui collects them.
Bring back the pushing blocks puzzle, but update it to be more of a Sokoban puzzle, along with going with a better visual design. Plan for 2-3 of these puzzles to appear in each level, but I am also gonna see if I can implement another puzzle or 2 to add some variety.
I set up to have Save Girls cost some sanity gems to save your current progress, and every time you save at them, a progress bar fills up. When the bar hits its maximum, the player is presented with the girl's memory. I’m still thinking about how much it should cost to save and how many times you need to save at the Save Girl to unlock her memory.
Mau is being updated to randomly patrol around the whole level, making her a bit like a Nemesis from RE.
Now I kind of want to see if I can release a new build featuring these updates in the coming days, but I can’t make any promises cause there might be more things I need to do for the game, and not sure how long that might take. Also, soon Guaky will begin work on the first pages of our next comic, in the coming days, so expect to see them pretty soon.
