Dealing with Armoured Enemies
There's been discussions around how Armoured Enemies do not feel rewarding due to the large decrease in XP/hr when facing them. This is highlighted even more by the fact you can't reduce or remove the Armour.
While Armoured Enemies are intended to provide less XP/hr in favour of better Item Drops, we can see the permanent XP reduction does not feel good. Before we look at changing how some of these mechanics work, we first wanted to provide a way for you to directly counter it.
We've now implemented a way for you to destroy the Enemy's Armour that fits with the theme of how we expect you to deal with Armoured Enemies:
An Enemy's Armour can now be destroyed by dealing damage from a single hit that is equal to or higher than the Enemy's Armour. The final damage value is what the game looks at for this.
Example: An Enemy has 50 Armour. If a single hit from you deals 50 damage or more, the Enemy's Armour will be broken (reduced to 0 for the remainder of the fight).
Combat Capes
Combat Capes have been offensively rebalanced to be more completive stat-wise. We've also made some Capes better for certain styles only, and have also added Protection to some:
Sand Nomad Cape and Glowing Lurker Cape have been buffed to now have more accuracy and damage bonuses, while also gaining Protection
Dire Wolf Cape has now been converted into a Melee-focussed Cape by increasing its Melee accuracy stats and adding evasion stats. As a result, it has lost its Ranged/Magic bonuses
Snakeskin Cape has increased Ranged accuracy and damage bonuses
Striped Cape now has additional accuracy and damage bonuses
Griffin Cloak now has added Protection
Combat Shields
Shields in Combat starting from T20 (Level 20) now have added Protection to make them a more competitive with other off-hand selections.
New Consumable Item drops in Combat
We've added some new non-Combat themed consumable Items that can be obtained in Combat:
Added Giant Honeycombs to Royal Bees: -10% food consumed by Animals in Ranching and +3% chance for Animals to not consume Food.
Added Dragon Bone Casings: A stronger variant of Bone Casings with +15 min hit and 80 Power Rating.
These drop from the Red Dragon or;
Can be created by upgrading 250 Bone Casings + 1 Dragon Bone for 250 Dragon Bone Casings. Requires Level 75 Beastcrafting.
Desert Spice Jars have been added to the Sand Nomad Mage, which grants -10 Difficulty for Intermediate Recipes only and +20 Cooking Proficiency for all Recipes.
Poison Pods have been added to the Plaguewing, which grants +8 Pest Protection at the cost of -3 Disease Protection in Farming.
Sand Drake Scales have been added to the Sand Drake. These can be upgraded alongside Leather to create Gliding Sols which grant +3% Agility Skill XP, +1% Flat Trap Success Chance in Agility and +5% chance to preserve Entry Costs to Arenas.
15 Leather + 1 Sand Drake Scale = 100 Gliding Sols. Requires 73 Beastcrafting.
Farming Mastery Guild
The most recent Major Update was meant to include a big change to the Farming Mastery Guild, however it was quickly reverted due to a critical bug.
