Good afternoon, everyone!
First of all, I’d like to start this update with a very important point. I am fully aware that you have been waiting for the release of the new version of the game for quite some time now. In light of this, I offer my deepest apologies for the delay. To rectify the situation and provide you with the finished content as soon as possible, I decided to drastically speed up production, and I have devoted almost all of my time recently to working on the dialogues for upcoming events (including those I haven’t mentioned yet).
To go into more detail about what exactly has been done: first, I completely finished work on the scene and dialogues for the event with Jessica in her bedroom. I must admit, working on this moment was quite exciting. Jessica has a rather unexpected and bold personality, so get ready for her to literally “toss” your emotions back and forth throughout this entire scene as well.
Then I switched to the family dinner with all the loved ones, where George will also appear. This scene will be relatively short but quite intense in tone. I intentionally designed it to shake up your state of mind in the game a bit and add some much-needed tension.
I also spent a significant amount of time crafting and polishing the dialogue for an event that takes place late at night. In spirit, this moment will resemble the final event from the original game, but here you’ll find a small yet very contrasting continuation. In addition, I’ve added a couple of unexpected twists - I’m sure they’ll pleasantly surprise you and even amuse you a bit.
As for current projects: just yesterday I started working on the final event for this release. The focus here will be on Jennifer. While Jessica surprises with her boldness, here Jennifer will fully reveal herself as a gentle and loving girl. Although the work is in its early stages, I already have a detailed plan outlining all the nuances of what’s happening and exactly how it should be implemented in the game.
And finally, I want to share some personal news that isn’t directly related to the code or renders. I’ve mastered a new tool for creating music and writing songs. This week, I’ve been returning to it periodically to update the game’s soundtrack. For now, I don’t plan on undertaking a massive project to fill every hour of gameplay with new tracks, since that would require a lot of time, which I don’t have. But I will still create a few compositions to add some variety to the game’s atmosphere.
As an experiment, I created a song that will serve as “Jessica’s Theme” for one of the key moments. Please don’t judge me too harshly - I’m still learning this craft, but I think it adds some personality to the project. You can find the result of my experiment at the top of this post, and let me know if you liked it by giving it a like.
Since the main focus this week was on the script and music, there hasn’t been any progress on the artwork, but the amount of text I’ve written allows me to move on to mass-producing images more quickly.
I’m continuing to work hard to live up to your expectations. Thank you for sticking with me.
Wishing everyone a great weekend - see you soon!
