⚔️Stylish Action HUD v2.0.0: Custom Theme Engine, Compact Mode & Theme Sharing
DESCRIPTION

⚠️ IMPORTANT: Back Up Your World Before Updating This is a large-scale update with significant internal changes. Please create a full backup of your world before installing v2.0.0. You can back up by copying your world folder, or by using Foundry's built-in backup tools.

Welcome to v2.0.0 — the biggest Stylish Action HUD update to date. This isn't just a feature patch; it's a fundamental expansion of what you can build. Design fully layered custom themes with stacked portrait frames and card backgrounds, collapse your party into compact portraits, roll stats directly from the HUD, and package your creations into shareable theme files.

🎨 Custom Theme Engine

The centerpiece of v2.0.0. The new Custom theme gives you complete visual control over every element of the HUD.

Portrait Layers: Stack multiple decorative images around character portraits — frames, effects, overlays. Each layer has independent controls for Z-Index, position, scale, rotation, opacity, blend mode, and size. Configure globally or per-actor.

Card Background Layers: The same powerful layering system, applied to card backgrounds. Build completely unique card visuals from the ground up.

Action Menu Customization: Every Action Menu element now supports custom image layers and text color — buttons, headers, sidebar, tabs, side tabs, quick slots, identity header, list items, and menu panels.

Element Image Defaults: Set custom images globally for bar frames, bar fills, bar backgrounds, dot filled/empty, and number backgrounds.

Per-Attribute Image Overrides: Go further by overriding element images on individual attributes, each with its own position, scale, rotation, opacity, and size controls.

Portrait Frame Layer: The identity portrait now has its own independent layer system, separate from the header. Stack decorative frames and borders around the actor portrait without affecting layout.

Card Size & Scale: Configure card width and height globally or per-actor. Per-actor scale multipliers let you size main characters and familiars differently.

The Custom Theme Engine lets you stack layers to your heart's content, but remember that each image consumes memory. To keep your HUD butter-smooth, I recommend using optimized .webp files and keeping an eye on the total number of layers. Don't let your masterpiece turn your browser into a slide show!

🎴 Compact Mode

Party HUD cards can now collapse into themed portrait thumbnails and expand on hover.

Per-Theme Styles: Each built-in theme (Iron, Glass, Fantasy, Medieval, Cyberpunk, Custom) has its own unique compact appearance with distinct shapes and effects.

Per-Actor Override: Set individual actors to Always Collapsed, Always Expanded, or Use Global Setting.

Custom Theme Appearance: Configure collapsed card size, border color, and background color globally — or enable per-actor Custom Colors for individual overrides.

🎲 Stat Click-to-Roll

Clicking a rollable stat on the HUD now triggers the corresponding dice roll directly — no character sheet needed.

PF2e: Saves (Fortitude, Reflex, Will), Skills, Perception, Initiative.

DnD5e: Ability Checks, Saving Throws, Skills, Initiative.

Non-rollable stats (HP, AC, Speed, etc.) open the value editor as before.

Alt+Click opens the value editor on any stat, including rollable ones.

Rollable stats show a dotted underline on hover for visual clarity.

📡 Broadcast Account for OBS Overlay

A cleaner, simpler way to stream your HUD — no special overlay URLs required.

Automatic Activation: Designate a Foundry user as your broadcast account. When that user logs in, overlay mode activates automatically.

Live GM Control: Set a default display actor or show all tracked actors. Switch the displayed actor in real-time from the broadcast settings — changes apply instantly to the broadcast client without reloading OBS.

Safety First: GM accounts are blocked from being set as broadcast accounts to prevent accidental lockout.

Configured via Module Settings → Configure Broadcast (GM only).

📦 Theme Export & Import

Share your custom theme with the community — or move it between worlds.

Full Export: Package your entire Custom Theme configuration — colors, layers, element images, attribute icons, badge conditions, menu customizations, and sounds — into a single .zip file.

Smart Import: Referenced images are automatically uploaded and paths rewritten on import. Just import and play.

🏷️ Category Visibility Filter

Custom action menu categories can now be shown or hidden based on who's looking.

Three Modes: All (default), Only (whitelist), Except (blacklist).

Flexible Targeting: Filter by actor type (e.g., character, npc) or by specific individual actors.

Configured per-category in the Menu Builder tab.

🖼️ Per-Badge Conditional Images

Badge attributes can now swap their image automatically based on tracked value thresholds.

Set conditions using percentage or absolute values with operators (≤, <, ≥, >, =).

Example: Show a cracked shield when AC drops below 12, or a glowing icon when a buff is active.

Configured per-attribute in the Tracking tab.

⚡ Improvements

Action Menu Custom Font: Added a font dropdown in the Style tab. Applies to all menu text — actor name, buttons, tabs, search, tooltips, quick slots. Live preview included. Select "(Theme Default)" to revert.

DnD5e Expanded Attributes: Saving throw modifiers and skill totals are now trackable and rollable from the HUD.

Per-Attribute Text Colors: Each tracked attribute supports custom label and value colors. Click to set, double-click to reset to theme default.

Independent Number/Label Positioning: Number-style attributes now support independent X/Y offsets for label and value text, separate from the bar position.

Global Style Defaults: Added global controls for Name (X, Y, Scale, Color), Portrait (X, Y, Scale), Card Format (Box/Popout), and End Turn button position. Per-actor values override when set.

OBS Overlay Isolation: Switched to a whitelist approach — all non-HUD elements are now hidden in overlay mode, including other modules' UI.

OBS URL Persistence: Overlay URLs now use a bridge page that preserves parameters through Foundry's auth redirect.

Config Scroll Preservation: The configuration panel now preserves scroll position when changes trigger a re-render (e.g., toggling sidebar mode, changing visibility filters).

Custom Theme Gating: Portrait layers, card background layers, element image defaults, and collapsed card appearance settings are only visible when the Custom theme is active — reducing clutter for other themes.

Number BG Center Alignment: Number background images now align from the image center point for more intuitive positioning.

Theme Color Reset: Switching themes now resets custom text colors (label, value, name) to the new theme's defaults automatically.

Dynamic Attribute Resolution: Refactored internal stat resolution to eliminate manual attribute mapping, improving maintainability across game systems.

Config Performance: Preview updates batched via requestAnimationFrame. Fixed event listener leaks, orphaned dropdowns, and eliminated 3–6× redundant HUD rebuilds on save.

Attribute Row Layout: Tracking rows automatically split into two lines when many attributes are configured.

Config Readability: Increased font sizes across the configuration dialog.

Reset Button: Per-actor reset now clears all style fields — portraits, bars, dots, conditions, collapse, card size/scale, and positional offsets.

🐛 Bug Fixes

Bar Fill Clipping: Bar fill no longer overflows its container when rotated.

End Turn Button: No longer appears persistently outside its intended context.

Preview Data Reset: Per-actor preview no longer resets to global defaults when switching actors.

Style Fallback: Per-actor overrides now correctly fall back to global settings instead of hard-coded defaults.
