Good Morning beautiful people, I'm on the tail end of an all nighter, so I'm a little over-caffeinated, my apologies if I'm a tad excitable. Here are some renders I worked on over the past week or so for fun, I find when I take the time to make art just for fun it really helps with some of the monotony of dev work so I've been trying to do more fun renders when I can. Plus, like always, it gives me a chance to test some things out. Now a quick housekeeping note, Check in day is going to move to Wednesday for a while, my schedule has moved around a little bit so it's easier to make the time on Wednesdays, it'll probably stick with that through the rest of summer, then we'll see how scheduling looks after that.
On to our usual business, script cleanup is going well, after my anticipated edits I expect the script will be about the same size as Part Seven, though a decent chunk of that comes from the multiple branches of a few scenes so I think once all is said and done I'm hoping final numbers for everything will be around the same as Parts Six or Seven. No major hatred of my own work this time so that's a pleasant surprise, my only current "obstacle" at the moment is if I'm quite happy with the final scene of the update, I'm content with what's there, but I had an idea a couple nights ago that I really like, but I haven't decided if it will really enhance the update or not, so ruminating on that a bit.
On the art front renders are progressing at a decent enough clip, with the script closer to a more complete form I'm starting to gauge about how many renders I suspect the whole thing will come out to be. Now of course last time I did that I ended up with about 1500 more renders than expected so out of an abundance of caution I doubled my anticipated amount and scheduled around it. The way I see it, that way I'll either finish up ahead of schedule or have a buffer built in. Better for my health at the very least, spread crunch out a little. Beyond that if dropped by the art stream on Sunday you saw the early stages of our first animation for the update. I'm happy to report that despite the copious amounts of my swearing and irritation it's actually shaping up to look like I'd hoped. Going to plink at it a bit more tonight if stills go well and I might even finish it by tomorrow, huzzah. Also obligatory thanks for taking the time to drop by!
That's a wrap for today, I'll let you return to your lives. A quick note I'm considering doing two art streams this month, our usual Blue Belt one and one that's open to everybody who wants to attend. No commitment yet, I'll have to see how time is looking. I'll have post up for my Blue Belts later today as well, after I wake up so keep an eye out.
Thank you, as always, for your support. I hope you have a wonderful day, week and possibly even month.
