One of the things that peaked my interest right before everything went awry for me was cryptocurrency. I had put in a few hundred dollars back in 2016/17 into coinbase and began to see buzz on twitter in August when bitcoin rose above 12k or so. I was like, "whoa - but then it went down, maybe I'll reinvest if it goes below that figure!" Turns out it never did, but I forgot about it because it wasn't really a priority as I was quite busy anyways. Eventually I made time in December and noticed the investment grow and decided to actually learn about crypto and the space. From late January on, crypto has been my new hobby that has taken my mind off of things which is good and bad. Don't worry - mostly good because it took my mind off of things and I was able to double my money - well, almost quadruple it before the crash, which was one of the "bad" things lol. It has been a sort of escape, but in a way mildly addicting which is the bad thing, although I have it more under control now. I don't have an addictive personality, but it was more so a combination of an emotion desire to not "sell at a loss" and wanting to "make back" what I had gained and - especially with just after having to pay an insane amount in taxes as well as wanting to plan a trip to London. It felt quite overwhelming to deal with all at once and I lost a lot of sleep looking at charts. Great! The thing that made me happy began to lose it's thrill!! haha
Well, the good news is that I did end up making time to make my first video on crypto as a sort of "vibe with new investors" type. If you're not into crypto, you might get about half of it but hopefully you're still entertained! I know for me it is nice to do a video on something that is not abuse related in nature. I am still really into crypto and will make more videos on the channel but likely not before a new EG one. That damn Manson video is still on my to do list and I think it will be next!
