how many of you have the Steady State Gate from SSF? Is it fair to say it's a bit of a modern classic, part of the vactrol-free modern LPG designs but in this case reimagined and expanded into more features and control. The original 2022 video for that is HERE.
Well now with the new STEREO FIELD version we have a stereo version in 10HP. The whole design has been revamped and improved, expanded further with more CV control options, QAOS shaping in all waveshaper modes and it's now in stereo. Smart stereo. Rather than take a typical 'dual mono' approach there's a whole deep circuit of mid side network, low end mono processing (a very common mixing/mastering technique), tonal tilt, spectral pan options ... basically - it's really good.
It's super dynamic, super musical, I'll stop rambling and let the video do the talking. I hope (as always) there's lots you can take away from this one, as usual much of it is applicable to other things.
