Weekly Update #49 - Implementation time, some news and poll about music and audio
Hey all,
Quick update for 0.19 development progress, featuring the return of the old progress charts, some news about in-game music, with a small bonus poll.
I've been pretty busy with the new app implementation, which as I mentioned in an earlier blogspot requires a tad more workload than initially anticipated. Front-end and UI design always keeps me busy for some time and it's not my favorite but I have to make apps halfway pretty or at least not too hard to look at! Functionality wise, the business logic is not too complex and there won't be a ton of features (initially), so I'm not too worried.
Plus, new app means it's in the launcher for good so it will be reused in future plot arcs, and can be a fun addition to the gameplay. Still a bit too early for my taste to share details, sorry about that, but I will most likely unveil more next week!
Without further ado, here are the progress charts for 0.19:
So like I've been saying, most of the artwork and storyboarding is wrapped (what's left is mostly asset work and some cleanup + some finishing touches on remastered old artwork here and there). However, a bunch of work to do with writing/scripting/implementation all linked to the new app, so I'm looking forwards to showing you guys some more.
Now regarding music, I've had some opportunities to start collaborating with a talented artist and I'm envisioning an actual in-game implementation soon™. I'm not committing for this update because I can't guarantee everything will be ready, but it will happen in the near future!
On this topic, I just wanted to know a bit more about your expectations and what you'd like to see implemented. Find the poll at the end of the post!
Thank you so much for the support, stay tuned for more updates and announcements, have a great week and see you at the next one for more teasers and previews!
