Weekly Update #69 (nice) - Back on production, some bugfixing and storyboarding
Hey all,
A more "regular" progress update now that we're in the thick of it!
We're most definitely in production phase as of now but this week had me going back and forth on various tasks, including some storyboarding.
During Planning Phase, I went over some high level storyboarding spanning the scope of the whole update, but I still needed to etch the finer details on the posing/framing I want for the artworks, especially since most of these illustrations will be from the same scene and thus will require to respect some consistency across the different pieces. It's more of a sketching phase that prepares the subsequent drawing phases!
I also received a couple of bug reports and corrupted savefiles so whilst checking those in the backlog, I also took some time to investigate and perform some debugging, at least to identify the root causes and have a decent idea of the required workload to fix them. Most of this has been done, so only the final implementation remains. Bugfixing is somewhat of a neverending process!
Since we're back to regular production, the progress charts are returning. I wanted to give them a shiny new look with the new tracking tools I've been using but I didn't quite find the time to give them a proper makeover so the old format will have to do for now!
Bit of a slow start as I'm gathering everything I need and implement new tools, but the pace should pick up pretty fast to fit the schedule.
Unfortunately, no new artwork teaser for this blogpost - with all the different stuff I ended up doing, I didn't have a sufficiently polished exclusive new piece to unveil - but fear not, I'll drop some more very soon!
Thank you all for the support, and stay tuned for more updates & announcements! Have a great one!
