The game is NOT using/applying Xbox, Playstation or PC HDR Calibration app settings.
The game has an average HDR implementation as while it has good black levels (with no black level raise) it only offers a single Peak HDR Luminance slider (in nits value) which can only go up to 1.000 nits...but with a very curious bug.

Even if the game doesn't seem to support system level HDR Calibration (as when you change values there those will not be changed in-game on next game restarts) it may happen that on the VERY FIRST game launch, the game WILL actually read and apply system level HDR Calibration even going beyond the maximum of this slider (for example on an LG G3 you will see 1.500 nits written there, even if the maximum of the slider can go up to 1.000 nits). If this happens to you on the very first launch, DO NOT TOUCH THE SLIDER. Just accept it and move on otherwise it will be stuck to 1.000 nits max again and you will never go beyond that anymore :/
If that didn't happen to you and/or you touched the slider: except for older LG OLEDs where you can set this to 800 nits, for all the other display leave it to 1.000 nits and if it's still too dim for you (in HGIG), evaluate using Dynamic Tone Mapping on top.
BONUS:
On Consoles: use the "Performance" (60fps) Graphics Preset for best smoothness and lowest input latency
On PC:
- Use my UET Mod to improve performance, lower latency and have better clarity at the same time, all with no visual loss ;)
Enjoy!
