One of the funniest things about cruising life is that no matter how remote you think you are, somebody always spots you!
Over the years we’ve been sent photos from followers who have spotted Holly Blue tucked away in anchorages, sailing between islands, moored up in marinas, or anchored somewhere we’d convinced ourselves nobody would find us.
This recent one has to be one of our favourites.
Whilst we were simply going about our day, moving spots to avoid some wind, somebody quietly snapped a photo from afar and later sent it over. We absolutely love receiving these little glimpses of our life from another person’s perspective.
It’s always slightly surreal seeing your own boat in someone else’s holiday photos!
One thing is for sure: after seven years in the Ionian we’ve learned there really is no hiding. 😆
So if you’ve ever spotted Holly Blue out and about and managed to grab a photo, we’d love to see it. Some of our favourite memories have actually come from pictures taken by fellow cruisers who happened to cross our path.
Thank you to everyone who says hello, waves from passing boats, stops for a chat on the dock, or sends us photos afterwards. It genuinely makes this cruising community feel like one big family. ❤️
