DESCRIPTION

Jane Doe is coming along pretty nicely, just wanted to share some pictures of the oufits I've been working on :)

Credit to AVGV here, I was commenting on how I liked that the jeans i've made for her work well with her original jacket, and he said she would look good with a pair of aviators to tie the whole look together, and damn was he right.

To go with the jeans I also made a new top for her. It's a fairly simple design but I wanted something to complete the more casual look I'm going for here. I'm deciding if I want to leave it as a simple white design, or give it some sort of a logo across the chest.

I'm also making an effort to design the clothes to pair well with multiple other pieces, rather than being designed to go with one specific other item of clothing in the mod, like I've often done before. This top I think also pairs nicely with her original shorts for example, or the jeans, which also pair nicely with her original jacket.

Next, I've been working on a one piece leotard outfit. I was really happy with how Shunguang's leotard came out, when I tried to look at the elements of her original otufit and incorporate them into the new design, so I've done the same thing with Jane here.

Here's a closer look. I'm really happy with the progress I've been making in substance painter, and I'm quickly finding myself able to make better diffuses than I was before in less time!

I'm a little undecied on the fishnet texture for now, I may redo that section to be closer to the texture of her original stockings. I've tried to use elements of her original design like the colour/material of her jacket, the white bandages of her boots, the arrows in her design with her red accent colour, and the colours/design of her jacket straps.

I think it's coming together nicely, and just needs a little bit more work before I call it finished.

I'm also redoing the diffuse for her cowkini design, as I felt it was using too much 3D shading and I'm getting a better hang on the 2D hand painted style of ZZZ in substance painter.

Again, it's just a work in progress, but I already think it looks cleaner and fits the game's art style better. Still needs the fine details adding though.

I'm looking at doing alternate hair styles again for this mod, but trying to learn from the mistakes I made with Shunguang's hair, picking hair that didn't match her original length/style, meaning I wasn't able to make them move naturally in the game.

Hair is a whole new kettle of fish, and not what I'm focusing on learning to create at the moment, so I'm just looking to add hair from existing characters that I think suit her. Perhaps one day I'll try to learn to make my own, but I've got enough on my plate for now 😅

Let me know if there's any you particularly like, or other ZZZ/Genshin characters with hair you think would work well for Jane.

Lastly, I mentioned this in the group chat, but for those who didn't see it: I've gotten a fairly large amount of requests while making my mods, from people wanting original proprtions toggles for my mods. While I understand why, due to the amount of outfit options I try to make, making variants for different body sizes would simply be too much work, as each would need to be remade and I would have to make new diffuses for them all too. To try and accommodate my patrons where I can though, I will be trying to include the original parts of her body in the mod and in future mods going forward, allowing them to be used with other sections of my body. As you can see above, I still have Jane's original jacket (although I'm also doing a bustier version of the original jacket too), and will also be including her original legs for people who want her original thigh thickness but wirth big boobs.

I hope this is a happy middle ground, as I strive to give my mods as much customisation as possible and want people to be able to enjoy them however they prefer!
