We are excited to present the first reference to Izamu from our book “The Dance of Nine Flames”!
Izamu is a cat-warrior, guardian of Tail Valley, and one of Yoki's key allies. His character and motivation are shaped by a deep personal tragedy.
A warrior whose soul, scorched by vengeance, is gradually healed through new connections, duty, and love, finding new meaning in protecting the living rather than avenging the dead.
It is Izamu who becomes Yoka's first ally and her guide in the new world. He helps her understand the laws of this world, warns her of dangers, and stays by her side in the most difficult moments, acting not as a hero, but as a reliable support.
As you may have noticed, Izamu, like most of the indigenous people of Tail Valley, does not wear clothes to cover his genitals. This is due to cultural differences in these places ^^ Yoki, like her mother, wears clothes because she is used to living in human cities.
